McCleary’s is a good old fashioned pub. where everyone knows my name. the servers are all so friendly. I can’t think of a better place to hang out with some friends, sit around the outdoor fire, and have a nice cold drink! Five ⭐️ !!!

McCleary’s is one of my girlfriend and my favorite spots to grab a drink after work and/or grab a nightcap after a bike ride. While it seems like there’s an occasional new face behind the bar, we love the consistent nature of the staff and have gotten to know Grant and Adam quite well! The regulars are great people and have fun while maintaining a level of responsibility that makes the atmosphere enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a “nice, sit-down drinking experience” this may not be quite for you. Yes, it’s an experience, and yes, there are chairs (so you can sit down)… but it’s definitely on the dive bar side of things. We love it though – the drinks are reasonably priced, the wait time is low, and the people/bartenders are great! See y’all soon!

Horrible experience at this bar on Orchard in Boise, Idaho. The bartenders were rude, unprofessional, and made us feel very unwelcome. As customers, we were spoken to unkindly and treated disrespectfully.It seems like the staff only pay attention to their regulars, and new customers are ignored. Karaoke was also disappointing. The karaoke host only lets regulars or “good singers” participate, which makes it feel unfair and unwelcoming to everyone else. Karaoke should be fun and inclusive, but this experience was the opposite.Do no recommend

Whitney & Kevin do an amazing job with karaoke, and the bartenders and crowd are extremely supportive, fun, and loving! Was nervous to karaoke at others bars for a long time, but have found a home singing with these guys. Drinks are priced well too <3

We were on the Boise trolley comedy tour. So we came in with a big group of people wearing wrist bands. We were ID’d before entering and had our hands marked. We went up to the bar to order and then were ID’d again. Totally understandable if our hands weren’t already marked. Proceeded to get the wrong drinks. Just wanted sprite and vodka and ended up with something else. We bought some pull tabs 3/20 were winners, totaling $5. Tried to cash them in the blonde guy only gave me $3 and said the others were outdated. Which doesn’t make sense. We started to play darts and then the same blonde guy told us it was the hardest board and proceeded to flip it over in the middle of our game. I heard really good things about the orchard mclearys, but found it very disappointing especially about getting shorted on the pull tabs

I went there yesterday night for st. Paddy’s day and everything was good until the bartender decided to yell at me and say that he was refusing service because I didn’t tip him. He said I come every week and don’t tip… I’ve only been there 3 times. I have my receipts from the 3 times I’ve been there and I’ve tipped those 3 times! Not only did he accuse me but decided to get aggressive and yell at me in front of everyone. I always bring cash to tip at the end of the night depending on how the service was. The other bartender said it’s a lesson I should learn because I should tip every drink I get instead of waiting till the end of the night. All the other customers who were there and witnessed what happened were shocked of how unprofessional he was. How I said I have proof that I’ve only been there 3 times so he had no right to treat me like that. I don’t know how the owner can stand for this behavior, the bartenders are refusing to make money for the bar unless they get tipped right away. I hope the owner does something about this situation because if not it really shows how much they care about their customers. I hope the owner keeps in mind that if the bar is losing money it’s for a reason and if there’s a lot of similar bad reviews ITS FOR A REASON! I’m not %100 sure but the bartenders name is Dustin or Justin.

What with the smokers I thought the law was inside and outside. No smoking, Also it very tacky to come around ask for tips for the band. We normally give before we leave . 2nd time here This place is just ok and we have so many more places that our smoke free!
