As I was walking in 2 different patrons complimented my hair and jeans. 🙂 I had one drink at the bar and decided to head out. Hello. I’m from New Orleans. Just up here to show some love. But your staff kicked me and my girlfriend out. Cause she is a service animal. I got papers and her service animal card. My service animal has never in her life as long as I’ve owned her. Never been on a leash. I put her on a leash when I really need to. The place i guess. Well I’ve been here for at least a hour. And this women gonna come up to me with an attitude. My service animal has been more places then she could think. The music the noise what ever. It don’t matter. She’s with the person that needs the help. Who ever the lady was. She was really rude. And Really Disrespectful to people that came up here from New Orleans Louisiana. And you want to talk to people this way that travel all the time. People that live here recommend y’all. Will here about this. You will loose business. Just Remember These Names To The Beautiful Lady That Kicked Us Out. Girlfriend and Warlock From New Orleans Louisiana. I think i got her on here. Any ways. Very nice local sports bar with damn good food. I enjoy myself most of the time I’ve been there. Only one bad time I can think of, a friend of mine and his girlfriend got into it. Both drank too much so my friend, a man in his 40s, decided to walk away so it didn’t get worse and while we went for a 10 15 min walk, we see his girl and one of the female bartenders she just met that night trying to take the battery out of his car trying to be spiteful. They knew I was driving his vehicle and I don’t drink at all so it wasn’t because he had one too many. She actually slapped him in the face by the pool tables and that’s when we took a walk. Other than that ridiculous experience I’ve had great times here even at pool league

McAvoy’s is a nice place to hang out. Especially on weekends when they have live music. Went to see Great Train Robbery (great band). They had a decent selection of beers and they serve food. There was a wide variety of people young and old enjoying music and friends. It could use a makeover. Refinished tables and chairs. Will definitely go back

Nice place but they charged a ridiculous 20% service charge on our bill…. they said no cover charge at door but screw everyone with an extra 20% service charge. NEVER AGAIN!!! bye bye McAvoys!!!!

My experience was amazing except talking to a woman at the register. I was trying to explain that I was paying cash and my friend was paying card and she snapped at me saying I was causing a problem. I’m sorry ma’am but not everyone uses a card for everything.

They add a 15% tip for parties of five, which would be OK if it gave good service then they split my parties checks into three different checks and still charge the service fee. The friend that I was with was informed that the dish she ordered wasn’t available or Orders went in at the same time and after the waitress lied that she had split everything onto four different checks my friend and his food was on the same check. It took almost 2 hours for my simple cheeseburger to come out I ordered a Swiss and mushroom burger and what came out was a cheeseburger with fried onions, lettuce and tomato then I ordered a refill on my Coke, which then t Was ignored then when my friends ordered refills on their alcoholic drinks, I had to try to order a Coke a third time I went up front and spoke to the manager and another waitress and it still took almost 2 hours to get the food. My friend’s dishes had come out on time and we’re finished and we’re looking at ordering something else by the time I even receive my food, which was the wrong order for three drinks a Coke a burger and a sub my check was $90. This is the worst service I have ever received in my life and I wouldn’t even recommend that anybody’s dog go to this place and when I complain to management, all I got was excuses and nasty comments. I felt really bad too because this place came highly recommended from a friend of mine who was very disappointed to hear of our shitty experience!
