Visiting Block Island for Valentine’s Day weekend. had dinner and lunch. The food was absolutely amazing. The Reuben egg rolls are a must. I also recommend the seafood ravioli. I updated for extra lobster. Sooo good.
Now the service. Personable and attentive. Our waitress was genuinely pleasant. I’m sorry I forget her name. She’s tall with dark hair and you will know it’s her from welcoming smile. I’m not a drinker and she had the bartender make me the best margarita mocktail, after I told her to surprised me.
The reason for the 5 stars is we came back the next day for lunch and they were busier and the service and the food was the same. True consistency.

We got cheesy bread, bavarian pretzels, french onion soup, scallop seafood platter, and a veggie personal pizza. Service was fantastic, the waiter was kind and attentive. Atmosphere was great too, the cozy bar vibes and decor is nice!
Food was delicious, the cheesy bread w the home made marinara sauce was delectable, and the fries had a unique tasty seasoning. For a vegetarian, it wasn’t too difficult to find something to eat on their menu! They also offered specialty dishes that change by day or week, one of them being a tomato florentine soup (which i hope to try next time!). My friend had the scallops and pretzels, and he loved them. Something to note was that he found the french onion soup was sort of bland, no taste of sour/sweetness, onions were not soft. But maybe we’re used to a different style of cooking!
Overall, the meal was fantastic!!! Definitely recommend this place if you’re craving some good bar food.

Great experience here! To start off, the food was fantastic, I was only here for appetizers however, those appetizers absolutely blew me away. I decided to do some restaurant hopping around the area, this Cheesy Garlic Bread with the French Onion Soup was just amazing. The sauce with the toasted bread and cheese with other flavoring on top also was really delicious, the French Onion Soup, Wow, absolutely delicious, also the mix of flavoring especially the cheese on top. Everything will melt in your mouth, it was awesome.
The service was fantastic, our waitress was really sweet, gave us recommdations of the best dishes at the restaurant, made sure the food was great and more. The atmosphere of the place was great! Despite eating outside, the outside tables and chairs were clean, the interior looked awesome too! There was a bar with a bunch of other seating inside too, nice lighting and large TV’s. The live music also made the experience a lot more fun as well.
This restaurant was definetly a restaurant that I would come back to if I would come back to Block Island. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others who are coming to vacation here or to spend a whole day here.

Such friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere! Service was quick and helpful. Delicious fish and chips with a great light flakey batter. Tartar sauce was sharp. Price on par with other restaurants on island ($20 fish and chips). Veggie burger 8/10 and was a nice surprise. Crispy fries. Single room bathrooms.

Another spot checked off the list on Block island! We made a reservation but had to wait 20 mins as there were people hanging out. I won’t knock them for this because the hostess was apologetic and not much you can do when people overstay their dinner.
The food was good we just wish the drinks came out quicker as they came out at the same time as our food. Overall, we enjoyed our time at McAloon’s!

All things considered (food, service, atmosphere) this is our favorite restaurant on the island. We got stuffies, shepherd’s pie, and the Rueben sandwich. Everything was delicious! 100% recommend this place!

We came to block island early in March and every where was closed except this place. So glad they were open. Such good food and service. The Salmon BLT was something else. I’ve never had anything like it. So fresh. The bloody merry was very good. The lady was so nice and friendly and they had sport games on too. Thank you for the nice experience!

Warm service and well prepared food. Prices are not bad when you are considering that you are on remote Block Island.
They have some vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, so it is possible for many to enjoy the menu here.
