Food was really good as it usually is! I got the jalapeno crunch sandwich (one of my favorites, highly recommend) with a side of potato salad. Food tasted amazing although they went a little heavy on the paprika for presentation. The reason I give a low rating on atmosphere is because it smelled heavily of fresh paint which makes sense and they also had a wall stacked almost to the ceiling with boxes but still understandable being newly opened. I’ll update my review once I go again hopefully it won’t smell like home improvements.

First off, my wife and I have eaten at McAlister’s a ridiculous amount, I’m rarely disappointed, like their food and of course tea. However, we went this last Sunday during the ice event (yes, we’re surprised they were open too) my wife, mother in law and I got essentially the same sandwich, grilled chicken club, sandwich was fine, chicken seemed old was dried out but didn’t think anything of it. Come Monday, I go to work in North Dallas for a 48 hour shift and can’t make it even to Monday evening before I start feeling terrible. Text my wife and come to find out my mother in law had vomited that morning and my wife is now feeling bad as well.
8 PM hits and I had been lying down since 4PM and now my wife is saying she has started vomiting, and I decided it’s time to come home… well on my drive through the crazy roads all the way through DFW it hits me at the worst time, having nowhere to stop being stuck in cars on the highway and Ice giving me nowhere to pull off, well you can only imagine where the vomit went. Now I have to get my car detailed to clean the mess, quite disappointed that McAlister’s would be so careless with handling of their food to allow something like this to happen. Safe to say we will not be going back, at least to the Stephenville location.
