McAllister‘s really works for me and my family because their food is affordable and it’s also filling. My kids love it. They love the grilled cheese sandwich sandwiches and the pizzas, and my kids are picky. My husband is also a vegetarian and he has options as well. They have vegetarian chili, they have a lovely four cheese melt sandwich that has 41 g of protein that’s vegetarian, and we also love their baked potatoes. Pictured here is their buffalo chicken baked potato that they just came out with, and it’s absolutely delicious. I highly recommend that as well as the Savannah salad. Those are my favorites! I should also mention that they have indicators on the menu for the items that are gluten-free and vegetarian so it’s easy to understand.
Also, if you wanted to eat in the store, but you don’t want to wait in line- if you have the app, you can just go find a table and then find the table number and you can order dine in from the app with the table number. Then they just bring the food out to you a few minutes later! It’s so convenient, especially if you have kids or if you’re in a hurry. We also get takeout from here like all the time if we’re in a pinch and need dinner real quick. My husband and I can usually get dinner for about $20-25 total, and they always have coupons and rewards through the app too that can help save extra money. We pick this place over fancier places any day for the quality and convenience factors. The restaurant is also usually quiet even when they’re busy, which is a plus. And the food is healthy & delicious! This beats fast food any day!
My cup was only half full. I asked for it to be full and he took it back (with attitude) and brought out an exact same cup. ( again with attitude)
Sad as we spent over $45 for lunch. I expect they could at least fill up the bowl!
Bad/gross experience!
A bowl from our carry-out order was made incorrectly despite the sticker on the lid listing all correct ingredients. I called to inform the store that I was coming back for the right food, and they said they’d have the corrected bowl ready for me behind the cashier. I arrived 10 minutes later, asked for my bowl, and nobody seemed to know what I was talking about. I had to wait another 10 minutes while they made other online orders for people who weren’t there before they made the replacement bowl they said they’d have ready for me 20 minutes earlier. They did not offer an apology or to comp the incorrect bowl.
While I waited and missed out on eating dinner with my family, I had plenty of time to take pictures of how disgusting the store is. Food all over the counters and cash register. Dirty containers, knives, and cutting boards just sitting out. Broken chips and pieces of food and trash everywhere. Utensils and containers on the floor. Really gross. I’m actually glad I went in to see that I don’t want to be eating food from this restaurant at all! I hope this review keeps other people from eating contaminated food and getting sick.
Edit: The owner replied to this review asking me to go to a link so they can “assist” with the situation. I just want to point out that this restaurant has many bad reviews, and while maybe getting a refund or some coupons is a nice gesture on behalf of the restaurant, there is no substitute for training your employees and enforcing protocols for how to prepare food in a clean environment that won’t make patrons sick.
