I placed a carryout order and arrived at the restaurant expecting a smooth pickup. After waiting about five minutes, an employee asked how they could assist me. I let them know I was there for a carryout and provided my name. Ten minutes later, a second employee approached with the same questions, and I gave the same answers. This happened twice more with two additional staff members, all while I waited patiently near the checkout counter.
After speaking with four different employees and waiting over 20 minutes, I finally received my order only to find a soggy, soppy mess. The butter pecan sticky bun I received only vaguely resembled the version shown online and on the menu. I understand it’s meant to be “sticky,” but this was unappetizing and poorly presented. The sweet, caramel pecan sauce could hardly be considered “drizzled”. It was more accurately “drenched”. Unfortunately, the experience -from the disorganized service to the disappointing food – was unacceptable.

Yall provided way smaller portions on the chicken fried chicken meal (top) than the normal sized portions you see with the country fried steak meal (bottom). Look at that tiny chicken. And whoever plated this wanted the hashbrown casserolr to match so, what, it’s less obvious just how small the chicken is? I’m trying to understand why yall robbed me of hashbrown casserole AND chicken.

Jennifer was amazing! She was attentive & my daughter laughed at all her jokes. She was very sweet.
The steaks were more done than we wanted, but that might have been my fault. I probably should havr ordered them med rare instead of med. They still tasted great, though! My daughter put away 1/2 of hers & I put away 3/4.
My daughter said the bathroom was so/so. Some trash on the floor. Idk. I didn’t use it.
Of course the gift shop always has fun, unique stuff to browse. I purchased some small Valentine’s stuff.
Overall a good experience.

I have been here recently and have had nothing but issues. My food has been *hard or overcooked* every time. Last night I ordered medium rare steak. You can see from my photo it is 100% overcooked. And my mashed potatoes were hard.

So I haven’t been to Cracker Barrel in over a year. My son loves it so we decided to go and it was great! Our food was hot and fresh! But the real reason I’m posting is for the fantastic service we received. Our server Katy was phenomenal. Katy was friendly, inviting, and very present while also serving 4-5 other tables.

I had been craving meatloaf all day so my husband and I went to Cracker Barrel on Schillinger after work. We had the sweetest waitress. Her name was JADE. I would highly recommend you ask to be seated in her section. She took her time and went over the specifics of the menu with my husband, recommended the most amazing loaded tots appetizers and made sure we had everything we needed our entire visit. She was also just very kind, which is refreshing in today’s world. I ordered a glass of wine, the meatloaf and baby carrots. My husband ordered a beer, the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy and fried okra. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. And, count yourself lucky if you get our same awesome waitress!

I don’t normally go to Cracker Barrel. The only times I’ve really visited there were church trips or family trips. It is not a place I consider when ordering takeout. I was gifted a gift card for Christmas so I decided to test the waters. I knew I wanted breakfast food even though I was using it for dinner. When I looked at the menu the one thing that caught my eye was the Strawberry Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes. The menu picture was beautiful. I also got scrambled eggs and bacon.
It was a takeout order and it didn’t take long for the order to get ready. I arrived at the restaurant and it was raining a little. Luckily I did curbside pickup. It had stopped raining once the person came out with my order.
When I got home I was very ready to eat. I can’t remember what I tried first. That really doesn’t matter. One thing I do remember was the minute I took my first bite of the pancakes. It was divine. That is not an overstatement. The cheesecake filling combined with the strawberries and pancakes was so delicious. They were some of the best pancakes I have had in my entire life. The bacon and eggs were good too but the main character was definitely the pancakes.
I really enjoyed the meal.

Something has happened to the service and food at the Cracker Barrel on Schillingers Road, Mobile, Al. We have been eating here about 3-4 times a month for a while. The last few times we’ve gone, the wait for our food is long despite there only being a few patrons. The food is over cooked, dry, and the portions vary. Drinks are not replenished. The last time we went there was trash on the floor at the table where they seated us. There was no tissue in the restroom stall (ladies) which I reported to the greeter; 20 mins later I returned to the restroom and there was still no tissue. I found the storage closet stocked the stalls with tissue myself. The wait staff seem to not be trained in the basics of serving. We have regrettably decided to drop Cracker Barrel from our list of places to dine.

Had Jennifer for a server and it was great, she was right on top of stuff with ideas to a better pick then what it was going to get for lunch. She was fun and joking witch made the meal a whole lot better than just sitting there. Will have to see if I can get her section next time I go back.
