Went for lunch and the “person” at the register was very abrupt, almost to the point of being rude, likely because they were flustered from a slight rush (there were about 5 people in the lobby and one was a pickup order someone else was dealing with, me and my wife, and two others) my wife wanted a spud for lunch and the “person” said “we dont have any spuds today”…. it was unfortunate but we understand that happens. So she ordered the full McAllister club sandwich. I ordered a pick 2 chedar brocolli soup and half Italian sandwich. There was a boil water advisory at this location at the time so the only beverages were canned. This was out of this restaurants control so Im not complaining about that- but I will complain that the soda cans weren’t even chilled. They were room temp and we were given cups of ice…. which waters down the warm soda even more… we received our food which was average by McAllister standards and we had just began eating when we heard a booming voice from the kitchen window. (We had a clear view of the window from our seats which were almost 40 feet or so from the window) where a presumed manager or shift lead or something was belittling another employee about being passive aggressive. She began crying and it was quite a terrible spectacle for a lunchtime sandwich shop… I felt bad for the gal but I dont know what prompted that interaction either- just made it awkward to eat our lunch from that point. So… I actually wouldnt be writing this review but for this next part… the reason I write this review is this: while we were about halfway through with our meal there was a couple that had sat down next to us and we noticed that they had recieved their meal and they had ordered a spud… and got the spud. Which they were supposedly out of. Another table… and another spud. My wife was furious because that was the only reason we stopped in there instead of eating at our normal Mexican restaurant lunch stop next door. So we go to leave and “person” who clearly lied to us is flipping through their phone at the register and didnt even bother to acknowledge us. I gave up because I didnt want to cause a scene and I resolve to just not go back. The guy/gal/they (or whatever they go by) could have just said they were making more, were temporarily out, there will be more in 10 minutes, there will be a longer wait…. etc. Not “we dont have any spuds today” ridiculous theyre allowed to work with the public.

I ordered broccoli cheddar soup. It was good, lukewarm. Husband and his daughter ordered McAlister’s club and it was very good. The plum drink was very good. The apple crisp cookie was okay. It tasted like dry oatmeal with apple bits, but good. I ate half, it was better the next day when I ate the rest of it.

First time here. I thought it was pretty good. I had the turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce. It was really good. So glad I can choose Cheetos. I love veggies, but I wanted Cheetos.

Stop here occasionally and the service is always awesome! Great friendly staff! I also love their food! I usually order one of their salads and love how fresh the salad greens are! The cookies are also phenomenal! I rarely buy sweets, but these cookies definitely taste home made! Thanks for the awesome service and food while running errands in Cape!

Being lied to about not having spuds. Sit down to eat, and a staff member brings out a spud to the table next to me. if you didn’t have any at the time you should specify. Only compliment is the tall gentleman that was walking around.

We really enjoyed lunch here. 10x better than panera. I had the half sandwich and salad for lunch. I choose the jalapeño turkey and Cesar salad. Both were delicious. My husband ordered the new Yorker with a salad and enjoyed it. The kids meal was mac and cheese with chips. Overall it was $38. Very delicious lunch. I highly recommend.

The chicken tortilla soup appeared straight out of a baby food jar. Not soup at all and warm at best

I like McAllister’s deli, nothing wrong with the food or friendly staff. I go there 2 or 3 times a week just for my tea pass, but here’s my problem, and I believe it’s a serious one. I have to scan the qr code and the scanner is eye level and does not point dow, it points straight toward you. Almost every time the infrared light hits me in the eyes and it hurts. It hurt especially bad today- the day I’m writing this post. From what I understand this can cause permanent damage to my eye/vision, which is inexcusable and the reason I’m not rating it 5 stars.
