This was the first time I went and I was taking advantage of the T-Mobile free sandwich promotion. You really can’t pass on free food right? They were quite busy and the staff was handling it like pros. So many to-go orders on top of sit down orders. Took the kitchen a little longer than it probably normally would. Got the Club… decent portion and taste except for the, I think, honey mustard dressing… way too sweet. Mac and cheese was fine.

Despite a few other customers waiting in front there was no counter person /cashier when I walked in. The kitchen staff had to tell the cashier that a customer was waiting. Although there were 3 kitchen staff, there was 1 at the counter/cashier. There wasn’t a hello or anything resembling friendly or welcoming. When ordering she’d just say “side” and “is that all?” Then walks away leaving customers to pay and take their own receipt.
The wait times were about 20 minutes for everyone. Someone asked for a refund and was denied. When the cashier gave out orders she just read off the order, so not sure why they ask for a name. She said “here” then slides the order to the customer. No “thank you” at all to anyone. Kept arguing with the guy in the kitchen.
Then there’s the food. It used to be very good. No care given now and they’ve definitely cut back on ingredients especially the chicken salad. The croissant was burned on top and the bottom was hard. I picked off the burned, hard parts and was left with half a sandwich.
Not my 1st bad experience here but it will be the last as I won’t return.

Stopped by for a quick dinner, and just wanted to give a shoutout to an employee Angel! He was so kind and helpful, and made our experience really delightful! And as always the spuds are delish.

Very disappointed with the service. Waited over 20min for our food to be ready. And towards the end, the girl at the register that took our order, started to get our food ready and asked the cooks to get the correct soup. She then just abruptly left the building b/c I would assume her shift was over while leaving our soup in the window and our sandwiches down below getting cold. Waited another 5min for someone to come to the counter as there was no one insight except for the cooks behind the line. Then when the other girl finally showed up, she looked at the receipt and didn’t pack our soups. I had to aak for our soup that was sitting in the window. Food was cold, but tasted good.

Pretty bad experience. Food is good. Service isn’t great. Wait times are the worst. You take 15 mins to order and another 20 minutes to get your food. I asked to speak with the manager and instead of listening to my concerns and have compassion he became defensive and annoyed and said it’s because he was going to another store to get turkey. I’m not too sure what getting turkey from another store has to do with bagging up to go orders and to stop taking orders since everyone’s food is sitting on the ledge. There’s no real management at this place. The environment seems miserable. Tables are dirty and no where to sit. Been the same way for years now.

This is our first time visiting McAllister‘s deli. When we used to go visit my daughter at Illinois State University we always wanted to stop but never had the time to. So glad that there is one closer to us now. It was very clean on the inside. They have so many tasty things on their menu. The French dip the macaroni and cheese and ham and Swiss sandwich are all wonderful. The ultimate nachos were very large, and had so many ingredients on them. Everything tasted exceptional. Fast service hot food very clean interior.

My daughter and I stopped by McAllister for lunch. The cashier did not greet us but I later noticed that she has a low voice. Tables were dirty they were wiped clean once the line was empty. The food was ok.. my daughter’s vegetarian spud had a little cheese and had to pay extra $2 for more… overall it was decent. Cashier should wear a net due to a possibility of hair… especially since they bring food to the tables) just saying…

First and last time at this McAlister’s in Orland Park. I ordered the Choose 2 with a sandwich and a potato, and within an hour I was extremely sick. It’s now been over 12 hours of nonstop stomach issues, dehydration from diarrhea, leg cramps, and no sleep.
There is clearly something wrong with the food handling at this location. No meal should leave someone this sick.
Do not eat here. No WIFI. Will make you sick.

Update: After 4 days I have finally fully recovered from this food poisoning. The careless and/untrained people that work are putting people in harms way.

Very disappointed with my first interaction with McAlister’s Deli.
Wanted to get a good sandwich after my mom went to a doctors appointment and decided to come here since we had never been.
As we walked in we saw a sign for the Honey Pulled Pork Sandwich and both of us wanted to try it, but as my mom and I were talking amongst ourselves a worker inserted herself into our conversation by saying “Just so you know we’re out of pulled pork”
So we had to reset and figure out a new lunch item. When we figured it out and ordered, we decided to splurge on the $6 Peach Cobbler Cheesecake, but that was also out for the day. Meanwhile it’s 1 in the afternoon, and no signs were posted nor preemptive warnings were made upon approaching the register to order.
When our food was brought out, we were informed, after placing our order and asked if we wanted our pickle spears on the side, that they were out of pickle spears for the sandwiches and there was nothing they could do to accommodate.

I seriously have never met people who could be more rude. Every single time I come here every single person has the worst attitude. They don’t respond to hello, hi, how are you, & when it’s time to get your number or your straws, they throw it across the counter. I went up for a to go box & was ignored for 5 minutes while everyone decided to act like I wasn’t there. Literally the worstttt customer service & it sucks that their food is kinda good because I will actually never be back.
