this was my first time eating here and it was amazing! i got chips and guacamole and the steak tacos. i was very impressed with how fast our food was delivered and also with the overall experience! i definitely recommend going. i don’t recall if they have regular chairs with backs on them, all the ones where i sat were tall wood barstools with no back. The atmosphere was quaint and genuine. Reminded me of some of the small Mexican restaurants I’ve visited in Houston in the past. You order and pay at the front counter. You then choose your own table. The service was friendly and fast. The fountain drinks are self-service and you are asked to bus your own table. The food was decent. I can only speak for my own dish, which was the Memelitas. I was not overly impressed with it, but it wasn’t bad either, so I DID finish it. Overall, in a scale of “terrible to amazing”, I’d rate the food somewhere between “mediocre” and “not too shabby”. This, paired with the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff, makes it worth a visit!

Mmmm. These enchiladas were tasty, just a bit small. The sauce was delectable, definitely not out of a can. Rice was average. If you are in the area and craving some Mexican you should absolutely give this place a try. 3.5 stars. If only google allowed half stars

Our mission was to find good food. Well, we found food that was AMAZING! Absolutely delicious and portioned perfectly. Service was good. There was a bit of a language barrier but, all around great. The environment was very comfortable. It has an outside patio with ceiling fans and a covered patio. It was the best!

Veggie tacos had great flavor! The salsa bar was also a fun option. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Order at the front of the restaurant and then find a table. Overall, love the vibe and the food was quite good.

I have been a Mazunte supporter from very early on. I LOVE the food. I have had every dish on the menu multiple times. Over the years I have grown to love this place more and more, the Sunday brunch menu is outstanding. The tacos, pozole, tamales I mean everything is just delicious. They have the BEST FISH TACOS IN THE CITY. The service is always great. If you haven’t been yet. You have been missing out on one of the best places to eat in the city.

Awesome food. I now experienced the true flavours of Mexican food. They have a Sunday brunch menu which has eggs the Mexican way. It’s amazing. My friends and I had a great time. Their meat based items were good too. The guacamole was so fresh and tasty. Their chips and salsa were different and good. It’s a self service place but the interior is still great with wooded design.

Delicious delicious delicious!! Mouth watering rice! Best chips and salsa bar I’ve ever had with fresh tortillas and like 8 salsas to choose from. I love love the Verde salsa and tacos dorados!! The margaritas are really good too and they are strong so watch out 😉
