Absolutely delicious flavor texture portion size. Best mazesoba experience ever. The karaage is a prayer to Jesus. Might be the best Japanese experience ever as well Thank you for doing business!

I’ve been here many times and still ordered the same set. It’s always their karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and their spicy mazemiso bowl. Their karaage is breaded, and the inside is so moist and juicy. It’s paired with lemon slices, and adding lemon juice is a MUST! The sauce is so creamy and good . I don’t like udon in soups because they’re so plain, so I’m super excited to try their soupless udon. The seasoning and ingredients are incredibly fresh and delicious, especially when paired with the egg. Once you’re done, they also give you extra rice, and that’s the best part!

We ordered Wonton Hero and Spicy Miso Ramen with Rice. They gave us INSTANT NOODLES, UNCOOKED.

They also refused to give us the rice, which we paid extra for.

Do not order to go from them.

GOD TIER. Everyone keeps getting the ramen, BUT THE MAZESOBA IS WHERE IT’S AT!!! RAMEN FOOLS!! GET THE MAZESOBA!!

Super decadent, generous with the sauce (you can request a small scoop of rice for free afterwards to finish off the sauce), great noodle texture, amazing taste!! The first bite was heaven.

Looks small at first but that’s just because the bowl is big/I was struggling to finish halfway through.

AJ, our server, is super friendly, chill, and attentive! He brings amazing vibes.

10/10 will come again

I got the karaage mazesoba and wow—it hit the spot. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the seasoned soft-boiled egg was perfectly jammy and flavorful. Super impressed. Clean space too, which made the whole meal even better. Definitely recommending this place!

This outlet serves the saucy (non soup) version of Japanese ramen. I tried the spicy original mazesoba. Also side of gyoza. Mazesoba comes with soft boiled egg in the middle and you need to mix the entire bowl with your chopsticks to get all the flavors mingle. They suggest that you add some vinegar. There are multitudes of toppings you can add such as corn and extra proteins. I tried the curry mazesoba as well and it was ok but the curry flavor was showing the powdery texture along with high spice of green onions which made the experience too harsh. The deluxe version may get up to $20 if you choose the souped up version and added toppings. The default noodle is a thicker ramen type similar to a udon texture. You can choose egg noodle version if you desire. They offer you a scoop of rice to eat the remaining sauce if you Ike. Gyoza was just okay. It might have been premade type and they were too small.

It couldve been because I was early, dining in and the broth didn’t develop a bitter after taste from over cooking, but it’s been awhile since I’ve had good ramen. The champion ramen had a good mixture of wet and dry flavors. Chashu + seaweed had a subtle fish dry taste vibe which is new. Noodles were chewy and not clumpy mouth feel. Broth and ground pork were rich but not overly. Overall taste + texture was superb and especially warming during the winter. Also the waiter Rick is such a homeboy and service is amazing.

Last time I liked having ramen was when I was running around in an orange jumper. Hope the guys and gals stay in business.

I love the chicken karaage at Mazesoba Hero. It’s juicy inside with a lovely crispy texture, which usually leads me to get the Crown Mazesoba. I got the Ocean this time around to try something different. It was still great, but my favorite is the Crown.

Ask for the rice at the end to mix with some of the remaining toppings and sauce if you want to experience food coma.

Mazesoba, which literally means “mixed noodles”, is a dish that originated in Nagoya, Japan, and features thick and chewy noodles tossed with a savory sauce and various toppings. The sauce is made with soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, chili oil, and lard, creating a rich and flavorful base that coats every strand of noodle. The toppings include minced pork, green onion, seaweed, garlic chips, and a raw egg yolk that adds a creamy texture when mixed with the noodles.

I enjoy the chew noodles and fried chicken
Everything is amazing and tasty
So I even so full whole day ..

This place is good! I have previously only tried this style of noodle from Menya in Arcadia, and not sure if this is just a new style to enjoy ramen noodles. If you are a eggs Benedict lover, or someone that loves runny eggs, having this addition to a noodle bursting with flavor is delicious. I have visited twice, and have had a great experience with the friendly staff. The place is right across from Mt. Sac, it isn’t the biggest place so if you are looking for 8+ this wouldn’t be the spot. The place looks modern and clean.

Food
The two times that I came, I gave the Champion Mazesoba a try. It is so good with the runny egg plus additional two soft boiled eggs and the cha-Siu. I’m glad I gave spicy a try as the first time I got it with no spicy. The first time I also tried the Crown Mazesoba. It was also quite good if you like Karage, that is fried and sweet.

I will definitely plan another trip sometime in the near future again. The good thing is that you also do not have to drive far into Orange County, or 626 area to get this, as it is right in Walnut. Until next time!
