I’ve had Mexican food all over the United States — California, Texas, Florida, Colorado, New York, and many more, and I can confidently say this was some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had.

The fajitas were cooked absolutely perfect. The meat was tender, flavorful, and seasoned exactly how it should be. Not dry, not overcooked, just spot on. But what really blew me away was the rice. Hands down the best rice I’ve ever had anywhere. So good that I literally ordered three extra orders to go, just the rice.

If you know good Mexican food, you know it’s hard to impress. This place didn’t just impress, it delivered on every level. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back.

A bit of a mixed bag. First of all, they do not serve beer or margaritas or wine! It is a dry restaurant!

Also, it felt a bit brightly lit to dine in. Coupled with no beer and wine, this makes it a takeout place in my eyes.
With the idea of a takeout place in mind, this becomes a different review entirely. Because they have a drive-through window!

So if this was a sit-down place I would rate it at three, due to no beer and wine and being too brightly lit. But since this is a takeout place and it has a drive-through window, my rating will be a four.

Let’s talk about the food.
It seems the thing to get here are the burritos. The tacos didn’t have much going on. They were just blah. Not a lot of the toppings, maybe some tomatoes and onions. Plus, when I ordered it with a rice and beans (and they put it in the same container) the tacos disintegrated having touched the rice and beans. (Series photo).
But the burritos looked huge, and my husband and son said they tasted very good. I’ve included the burritos with a picture of my hand so you can get a sense of scale.
Bottom line: we live somewhat nearby, and this will be our takeout place for burritos, with the understanding that we can call in and just pick it up in the drive-through. But I would not order the tacos again, nor would I go for a dine-in experience with a brightly lit Dining room and no beer and wine.

We discovered this restaurant about 2 months ago and we are so happy we did! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious! We’ve been back 3 times since our first visit and we will definitely be back. I’m vegetarian and love the vegetarian fajita. And I crave those black beans! They are packed with flavor!

Went there for early dinner. Husband got rib eye meal and he was very pleased. I got a Chicken and steak mix which was very good. Service can be a little busy depending on number of guest.

What started off as a great restaurant is certainly gone downhill. People seem to be tired and worn out and you don’t get the same quality of food or service that you originally got when the place first opened. I understand the limited restaurants in the Southmont area but I can go other places that will at least be nice and the food quality is gone downhill from when they first opened. I understand charging different amounts for cash and credit card because of the credit card fees that I don’t have an issue with. I just feel like I’m more of an inconvenience to them here when I visit this place. Because the food’s not as good as it used to be I don’t have an issue with going somewhere else if your food was outstanding I actually probably would still come regardless of how you treate us. But you’re not that good even though you’re in the only location 12 mi from town either work on the quality of your food are your customer etiquette skills

Food was ok wasn’t worth the price forsure hot sauce wasn’t good at all. Tasted spoiled. First time trying this place. Service was nice. If your looking for real good Hispanic/Mexican food. At a great price THE EATERY IN LEXINGTON IS THE PLACE TO GO. This is more the white people place to go if that makes sense. $15 for 4 street tacos and a tiny plate of rice n beans. The other was Mexican cheesesteak taco. I’m thinking queso fresco nope mozzarella. Pico. For street tacos. Shud be onion cilantro tomato and avocado and Chile
