I highly recommend people to avoid this place. It’s a very poor excuse for Mexican food. I think they call this westmex. The chicken wasn’t seasoned at all the tortilla was gummy and the vegetables were cold. 1 star is being generous

We told waiter twice, my wife cannot have beef. She ordered a combination with pork instead of beef, got beef over the top anyhow. Waiter was argumentative instead of simply correcting the issue, saying we didn’t say anything about beef when we had, twice. He failed to bring back a refilled soda. I received my food, which visually looked good, but portions were quite small and the taste was not good. Even the chips and salsa were severely underwhelming. Salsa is blended, no chunks, and ridiculously mild. Chips are store bought, not made on location.
Needless to say, we gave up waiting for my wife’s corrected dish. Waiter, while handing me the bill for my combo and a drink, continued to argue, then had the nerve to tell me not to talk to him like I did when I said we had told him repeatedly about the beef.
We will NEVER be back and strongly recommend others avoid the place. I heard it used to be great, but in our experience, it was the worse service we have EVER had.
Taco Bell is better, hands down.
If you like argumentative waiters, this is your place. If you want a restaurant that treats customers with respect, move along.

Very good experience here today.

The place is clean and well ordered.

Service was great. The timing was perfect.

Chips were good and the salsa was great.

The Mrs had a taco salad and said it was very good.

I had the beef burrito lunch special. The burrito, beans and rice all tasted great.

We had a very good meal here, just as we hoped.

Recommend that you stop in.

The server last night didn’t listen that I couldn’t have beef. I ordered the two pork tamales combination and it came smothered in beef. Who puts beef on pork tamales? After waiting 10 minutes he came over saying the manager was gonna be right over to talk to us. After almost a 30 minute wait for the manager and a replacement plate with no beef we got up paid for my husband half eaten food and left. Not ever going there again. Service was bad, portions small for the prices they have.

This is the first time in Aberdeen SD. I was craving some authentic Mexican food from my home state California. It was a 10+ the salsa was spot on. We had everything from Nachos to chili Relleno’s, cold beer and Queso!!! Etc. The service was great and the restaurant was clean.

Are you ready for the second best Mexican food that Aberdeen has to offer?
First off, they have chips and salsa complimentary.
Next, the amount of food you get and how delicious it is, is unholy.
If you go anywhere else, (except 1 other place, I won’t mention because that would be rude) you are actively doing yourself and society a disservice.
I recommend the burrito californiano.

Note: (pictures of plates were of me halfway through my meal sorry, didn’t plan to write a review but after being impressed I had to)

From Minnesota, came down to South Dakota for work, randomly came across this restaurant on google searching for eats, i totally recommend checking this place out, real relaxed Mexican spot, great food, I had the Californian burrito which was massive and exceptionally good, definitely will get you full. Comes out quick and hot! Agua de horchata was good, not too sweet, not too plain. They also give a basket of tortilla chips and they give you a lot! Food is pretty cheap as well, my meal was only about 15$. The people working here, (mostly Mexican people) are great, and very attentive to your every needs. Despite the fact I came in on a hot day and their AC system was broken down, I totally loved this place and would recommend anyone to give it a try!
Nothing to complain about, only thing that would make this place even better was a nice loud sound system for music, but that’s just me being picky.
Again, please give this place a shot, you will not be disappointed. Show some love to my Mexican folks ❤️
Also, despite the AC system being broken and it being quite hot inside, never once did I see any of the employees remove their face masks, not once! I once worked as a server and it can get quite hot and tiring working, especially when working in the hot kitchen, so I notice these little things and I must say I was impressed

I ordered chimichangas a #32 as you see in the pictures (the 1st pic is the menu, 2nd is what I received ) it looked more like a very very small burrito. It doesn’t say it comes with green pepper and onion in the meat, I don’t like rice or beans so I ordered fries, first time they brought it it was a plate full of beans.
My daughter has the fajitas and the flour tortillas where hard all around the edges, there were 6 thin slices of green pepper and 1 of red… All in all…. Very bad.

I’m going back to try their Steak Fajitas ! I had random pieces of steak, onion & mushroom in my shrimp enchilada & LOVED THAT STEAK/M/O FLAVOR!! Would prefer less lettuce atop my meal > my 2 friends agreed… playing hide & go seek is fun – just not with my food. Ha!
The Lettuce off to the side = better.
The train depot across the street is an added treat ! As I videoed the train moving, I blew my car horn > like I did as a kid when arm-motioning a semi truck driver to toot his loud horn on the highways, . The Train Engineer complied & blew his horn for me… THAT MADE MY DAY !! A Nice lady entering the restaurant with me agreed that horn blow was
‘for me’, as i shared my fun Train encounter with her!
THE NICEST PROPLE HERE, IN ABERDEEN !!
I’ve been very fortunate to “almost” always have stayed where I’ve been able to hear a Train Whistle in the distance > SO DARN COOL !!
It’s TRULY one of MY FAVORITE THINGS
Excellent service at Mazatlan – try it !!
