seasoned roast beef, sliced pickled banana peppers and thinly sliced raw onions on a soft rye bun with a side on creamy yummy coleslaw and au jus dipping sauce. The spicy Italian beef was loaded with Giardiniera. Yum! The steak fries were overcooked, crispy. You easily get 2 meals out of a sandwich for leftovers. Lots of food reasonably priced at $18. If you love good food, good service and a dive bar vibe, you will love this NE bar and grill.
Only complaint is the served portion of au jus was not nearly enough for a whole sandwich. Enough for half.
This is a classic dive bar. It is full of interesting posters, signs and photos. I really like this place and I plan to come back one evening to chill have some drinks, listen to I music and just enjoy the atmosphere. This place has its own character and the service n is pretty good. Those who know Mayslacks love this place.
***Added tot onto the sandwich in picture for scale.***
Edit: Adding the Reuben to my Top 10 Reubens of the Twin Cities.
Note: I do not recommend the breakfast tots. I may have needed to be hungover to enjoy it. In theory, it sounds delicious but wasn’t in reality.
