Great views from the roof top area, first come on seating. The bartender was not friendly at all. The olive burger was undercooked. Fries were okay. Drinks were good! Service not the best! Will not be back!

Fun place for food and drinks. We played Trivia on Tuesday. Look at the receipt and you will see that a Shirley Temple is more expensive than one of their finest Yengling beers. On top of the roof patio is very nice with a full bar and great view.

It’s an old neighborhood bar with some decent draft beers and food.
It’s the kind of old that translates as character if you’re from here. Pretty clean, even if your booth might be a bit rickety.
Enjoyed my olive burger, the burger on special, and the onion rings, but not even “fancy” style brought the fries up to much. Quite liked the burger bun, which was more like a roll and delicious on its own!

Only By Nature
This place has been around a long time, and it’s what I would call a true local bar and grill. The place has been updated some years back, and it really is a nice clean, beautiful atmosphere for a local bar. The only reason I ding them on services for some reason the bartender was being pretty short with me. Maybe she was having an off day, I don’t know. All I do know for sure is two hearted beer is not 6.5 on the APV in the ale I was looking at is an ale not an IPA and she was so matter of fact sure of herself with her short matter of fact answers to me and obviously she don’t know what she’s talking about. Generally, services are up to par, be it bar restaurant downstairs or on the upper deck with a nice view of the lake. Keep one thing in mind, though the menu in the restaurant is not the menu that is served on the top deck. It’s definitely an excellent place for some quality bar food. With a nice atmosphere downstairs and an open Airy setting overlooking the park and lake on the upper deck.

The food was great. It all came out hot and fresh just like we ordered it. Prices were pretty good
But our server looked visibly annoyed when we walked in the door and sat down and she was very rude and didn’t care to try to earn a tip or anything else
When we walked in and sat down she walked over in a huff and was like what do you want to drink? We all ordered water except for my girlfriend’s son. He ordered Sprite. She came back and my girlfriend asked if they had a drink menu and she’s like not really. She’s like I’ll bring what we have and came back a few minutes with a flip card with a couple different drinks on it
We ordered our food and she asked my girlfriend if she wanted a drink and she said yes and ordered the drink
The waitress then tried to turn around and walk away without asking me if I wanted anything at all and my girlfriend was like hey wait and I ordered an Old fashioned which came out ok. It was actually just more of straight liquor And not really any other flavors like it’s supposed to have but whatever
She came back with our food and you could see she wanted us in and out. You could tell that she was in a hurry to get us out I went to use the restroom and if she was in such a hurry she should have been doing something other than sitting at the bar, talking with her friends and having a good time
So I’m pretty sure that’s the reason she wanted us out so fast and she was visibly annoyed when we walked in
We got our food left her a small tip because of the attitude that she had and the fact that she didn’t even want to ask me if I wanted to have a drink or anything
If you’re handicapped and use a wheelchair or a walker, be prepared for a very small bathroom. It was clean but very small

Our euchre girls had a blast today at Mayfair. The food was tasty and our waitress was the best. We love the feeling you get at a nice, local establishment that knows how to take good care of their patrons!! Christine, you’re the best!!

I stop in fairly often off of my routes and grab food. Always had great customer service whether I was doing takeout or sitting in and eating. Best burgers in the area, definitely a must try if you’re in Haslett.

Like some of the other reviews on here, I am also not quite sure how this bar has the high rating that it does.
The young lady who seated us was very friendly and attentive. The first thing that I ordered was a beer. They have a decent selection of beers on tap, and it was a nice surprise to find a few that I had not tried. It arrived quickly and was very cold. *Spoiler Alert* This beer turned out to be the highlight of our meal.
My fiancee and I decided to try a couple of different items from the menu, and ended up ordering The Duke Burger and the nachos. The Duke Burger was decent, but definitely nothing to write home about. The onion rings that came with it were clearly straight from the freezer section of a budget conscious shopping center. If that wasn’t already bad enough, they were also overdone and flavorless.
The “staff favorite” nachos as they were listed made the burger seem like an award winning meal from a fine dining restaurant. The portion was large and enough to feed two, but this was the only thing going for them. Every component to the dish tasted cheap. Whatever flavor was incorporated in this delicatessen was clearly lost during it’s long trek from the kitchen to our table. As my fiancee correctly stated, “These are the kind of nachos you would eat while drunk, and not touch at any other time.” I couldn’t agree with her more.

Typical hometown bar. Darts, pool, shuffle board, keno, sports on the tvs, good service, good food. Always feel welcomed, plenty of seating. Roof top is great late spring through the fall. Over looks Lake Lansing park, great place to hang out and enjoy the concerts from the park all summer.
