Maybelle’s on Main has ruined coffee shops for me; I will never be able to find another place that meets my expectations. This place will now be my standard for cafés and coffee shops. The iced pumpkin spice latte was absolutely phenomenal – there was a pumpkin flavor not just an overwhelming mixture of cinnamon and nutmeg! And that breakfast sandwich will live in my head rent free for the rest of my life. I would drive the two hours back just to enjoy this place again. The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy. I will 1000% be back!

A quaint little café in a historic little town. The staff were friendly and personable, and explained the menu nicely while crafting our coffee drinks. There was not a lot of staff working the afternoon we went there, so the wait for our food was about 10 minutes. But it was worth the wait and they have a little gift area that makes the wait pass quickly. And the size and quality of the sandwiches are a great value for the price! Worth the stop!

What a wonderful place! So delightful to come in out of the cold this morning and be welcomed by three lovely women and a delicious hot breakfast! We had bacon, egg and cheese paninis – mine on large white bread and my husband’s on an English Muffin – all grilled to perfection – and accompanied by a fantastic cup of coffee. There are lots of comfy places to sit and one of the women brings the food right to your table. It was a terrific start to our day and we left happy and filled, promising to return VERY soon!

The best! Delicious breakfast sandwiches, great coffee and just the loveliest staff. Paula was so kind to us, and the baked goods are top-notch.

This lovely little cafe was the perfect stop for us during our vacation! The breakfast sandwiches were soo yummy, there’s lots of options, and the portions were huge. I tried two sandwiches and both were fantastic! We will certainly be back on our next trip. The ladies working the counter were very sweet and friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming and clean. Lots of art and plenty of places to sit. highly recommend

Nice downtown location and a cozy atmosphere. The coffee is decent but not always consistent. Unfortunately, they still charge extra for plant-based milks, which makes it hard to choose them over other local shops that have dropped the upcharge for lactose-intolerant, vegan, and ethical customers. I was also disappointed on my last visit, I paid extra for plant milk, only to be told afterward that they didn’t have any, and there was no price adjustment. Would love to see them improve consistency and offer more inclusive options.

Quaint place, friendly customer service, reasonably priced. Delicious BLT, just like home.. beautiful tomato, crispy bacon and lettuce on sourdough toast. Good iced mocha. Inside and outside seating. Beautiful day to sit outside.

I’ve been going here long enough to see entire staff turnovers, and it’s becoming more evident as I’m increasingly greeted by teenagers who don’t know, or aren’t very interested in knowing the drink offerings. I was there this past weekend, ordered a latte for me, BLT and iced coffee for the wife, and a sandwich. Within 2 minutes of taking our drink orders no one remembered that we actually ordered drinks (no one else in line behind us, only 2 people in front of us). After taking our order, one of the young ladies then began to groom the other (hair combing) quite near the sandwich prep area. They finally asked if we ordered drinks and apologized when they realized we did (now 5 minutes earlier). Finally we got our “BLT with tomato”.

Adorable little cafe with great coffee, solid food, and great vibes! I stumbled upon this lovely local shop while hiking about Shenandoah and realized I was in desperate need of a caffeine fix and warm food. I popped into Maybelle’s on Main and was immediately greeted by the warmest, most friendly barista, who promptly gave me recommendations of her favorite hiking spots and whipped up my cortado and breakfast sandwich. The cortado was solid — the coffee was the boost I needed to make it through the next day of hiking — and the breakfast sandwich was solid. The $4 sandwich included an egg, cheese, and tomato served on potentially the largest English muffin I’ve ever seen (who knew you could panini press an English muffin?) — it was tasty, warm, and super affordable. I didn’t love that everything was served on disposable tableware, but the cafe was super cute — I loved how much natural lighting there was, and all the sofas and chairs were super cozy. It made for a great spot to read, hang out, or do a bit of work.
