Burrata salad was decent, mac nut pesto was quite yummy! The Hamachi Collar sadly was fishy and it was finished out of hunger.
Their ability to make food gluten free is pretty good, but for celiacs (like me) they have one frier for everything so wouldn’t recommend for celiacs!
Cocktails were fine! Nothing special that we had.
We decided to try the crispy chicken sandwich, Spanish Lobster Roll, and couscous salad with shrimp, and each dish was impressive in its own right. The salad was a refreshing combination of Mediterranean flavors, and the lobster roll was both delicate and satisfying. The sauce had a subtle flavor that complemented the lobster without overpowering it, and each bite seemed to intensify the flavors in a delightful way.
What really stood out to me was the attention to detail in each dish. It was clear that the chefs put a lot of care and thought into creating the perfect flavor profiles, and the result was a meal that was both satisfying and memorable.
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. It’s a wonderful addition to the food scene and definitely worth a visit. And who knows, you might just discover your new favorite dish.
Working with Lamont was such a highlight of the process. He’s incredibly creative and made menu planning feel effortless. We gave him a few cuisines we love – Peruvian, Japanese, and Italian – and he somehow brought them all together into a menu that felt cohesive and absolutely delicious.
The Mayas catering team truly goes above and beyond. Their package covered everything, from pupus to dinner service to the bar, and we felt completely taken care of throughout the day. Months later, our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was and how good the drinks were. We couldn’t recommend Mayas more highly!
We usually go for the happy hour menu and noticed happy hour pricing has gone up for
the food. I understand there’s inflation but if you’re gonna charge more at least keep the food quality and value the same.
What was the Patatas Bravas is now French fries (frozen) slathered with the sauce they put on the patatas bravas tapas plate. The previous dish was $7 and just a mini version of the full size tapas plate with cubed potatoes. So the menu changed for an inferior dish and the price is now $10.
We also ordered the fried chicken pieces with some micro greens and sauce off the Happy Hour menu. This was also $10 and pretty delicious.
Lastly, we ordered the braised short rib with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The short rib was perfectly cooked and fall apart tender. The dish also had a Demi glace sauce that was overly salty.
We are disappointed that some of the value for the food has gone down.
Excellent drinks and a lovely ambiance!
