Take it from a local, this place is a HIDDEN GEM! For dinner they do a “surprise” five course tasting menu typically focusing on Mexican foods and flavors – aka you don’t know what you’re eating until you show up! For lunch and weekend brunch they serve a more traditional restaurant style Mexican inspired menu (like a plate of tacos, rice and beans – which is to die for)! We are particularly fans of the “special” nights they host every now and then – most recently was Moroccan night and it was an experience! Not only is the food always fantastic but the chefs are so fun and easy to talk too. Highly recommend checking this place out – it truly is one of our top favorites throughout the whole city! Also recommend following their Instagram page for latest information on lunch / brunch menus and upcoming specials!

Wonderful little spot!!! The food is amazingly delicious and the staff are super friendly. I highly recommend grabbing lunch here when you have the chance! This is the first restaurant in the US I have found that had sweet tamales! I haven’t found those at a restaurant since I went to Mexico many many years ago!

A great place to eat. I came here on a trip with my family and it was by far some of the best food I’ve had. I mean the flavors were so good. I think we had some peri peri peppers when we were eating but I mean it was a new type of pepper for us and man did it pair well with our meal. Overall a very fantastic restaurant and experience. I highly highly recommend this place, and if I ever find myself in south Carolina I’ll definitely have to come here again!

Fun way to eat a great meal. Eat and drink what the chefs decide to serve that night. $60 per person. I think every recipe was “my mama’s” or “my grandmother’s”. You never think to add pineapple to lentil soup. Thank goodness his grandmother did! Crazy good. Also, reservations are a must! Very limited seating each night.

Not fancy or exotic, just delicious. It’s a small joint, maybe a little hard to find, but well worth the search.

I placed a large order of empanadas and tamales for a dinner. Chef Raul was quick and easy to communicate with. I picked up the food at lunch and he gave me instructions for how to reheat. The food was delicious – especially the spicy chicken empanadas!

My wife and I ate there last night. What a wonderful experience. The food was delicious! Before we left, we made another reservation for Moroccan night.

Lovely evening. We did the five course Chef’s dinner at six pm. Chef Raul explained each dish. Everything was delicious, wine pairings were included. It was a treat. Call to make your reservation.

The atmosphere was nice. The people were really chill. The food, I felt was overpriced and simple, not bad, but not stand out. If it was amazing, it could be a dinner spot for me for that price. But it was too simple for that, especially compared to the other Mexican food near by. I felt Lola’s RV had a stronger steak burrito and larger. Azul has comparable or better food and you get chips and salsa for free. The chips and guac here I think was 8.00 (?). And for something nicer, La Norteña serves food that is a little more expensive but of higher quality. I love Mexican, and I am a local, so I hope this place finds it’s niche. But as of now, it won’t be a new go to for me, just for the price.
