Quaint place for sandwiches & other American food, including breakfast served from morning to night.

The most perfect, quant little diner. Would definitely be in an episode of Gilmore Girls. For breakfast, we love to get the massive Chloe’s pancakes, cooked with a warm runny egg and bacon in the middle of the pancake. Even with a small seating area, they got our party of 10 in fairly quickly, and we were all served quickly. Some of my favorite classic indulgent breakfast food!

I’d give this place another shot because the server and host were both really friendly, and it definitely has that family-friendly, local vibe. My over-medium egg on my hash came out more like “lightly scrambled,” and when I asked about it, my server said it was over hard—apparently that’s when they break the yolk. I’m pretty sure that’s not right, but she knocked $3 off the bill without me even asking, and I’m sure she would’ve been happy to redo it.
The potatoes were a bit overdone for my taste, but my son actually liked them. Overall, we said we’d try it again for sure.

Dropped in here on a sunday morning as a pit stop on way to canada. Plenty of free parking right outside. Was much busier than expected but they managed to get us a table after only a 10min wait. Our waitress was fantastic, the food was amazing, the fries were incredible. If you want a
real dinner experience this is the place, highly recommend.

Great brunch spot in Waterbury! It has a nice classic American charm! There was a little bit of a wait since they were quite busy. They have bar seating options as well as table seating. We ordered the spinach omelette and sweet potato burger. They were very good and definitely hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly, pricing is good.

We had a wonderful experience at Maxi’s! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive. Beth was an amazing server: friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from start to finish. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Maxi’s to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service.

Went to this place on a Sunday for breakfast. I tried different items. The food tastes is okay. I would say above average than lot of breakfast place. The fries tastes is unique. The place is located right on the exit of I-89 and got parking as well. Place can be very busy depending upon the time of the day.

Very nice restaurant, loved it!
Stopped by here for some breakfast food today.
The building is in good shape on the exterior , and on the inside as well. They keep their restaurant nice and neat. Alot of warm colors and landscape paintings found within.
Nice cozy place to stop in and have some breakfast or lunch.
the service here was topnotch, the waitress Nicole did a great job taking our order as well as the accuracy of our order when the food came out. We didn’t have to ask for anything , she already was on top of it.
Today we tried their ” pulled pork sandwich , side of fries with coleslaw” , ” biscuits and gravy” , ” stuffed french toast”, ” Cuban sandwich with potato chips”
The food came out promptly and delicious.
The cook did such a great job with the food, thanks Maxi’s for the great experience. We would love to stop by again and try something else on your menu if in the area.
Thanks for checking out my review and have a wonderful day!

Definitely a good place to stop for breakfast. Just one extra note: It’s right at the traffic circle. We missed it & had to come back. As you go around the circle, one of the exits sort of goes right into their parking lot. The restaurant itself had a Vermont like feel to it. Our server was Zoey, and she was very sweet. She also was on top of refilling my husband’s coffee cup. There were lots of choices for breakfast. I had the banana bread French toast (see picture) & my husband had the little river breakfast, which had Vermont cheddar mixed into the eggs ( see picture). Both were delicious.

I’m VERY picky about my home fries. When I say this, I mean it- I have never had home fries as good as these. Seasoning was top teir, they were so crispy and delicious.
The banana bread French toast was soooo good, super filling and flavorful. Had notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. The bacon was a crispy, with a thicker cut. The pancakes had awesome flavor but could have been fluffier for me, personally. But the flavor made up for it.
The hot cider hit the spot! Fresh and steaming.

Nice place right off 89 and for us was on route to the Alchemist! Our Waitress Amber as nice and helpful taking my elderly father’s order that always has associated questions! Ended up opting for the Mountain Hash, made with homemade corn beef hash. It was very good and just enough. Dad had the standard (for him) vegetable omelet which he also enjoyed. They were busy so service was a bit slow which was not a problem for us. Might be an issue if you wanted something fast.
