It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we will not be re-opening after the temporary closures due to COVID-19. So, first things first, thank you for the laughs and thank you for the unforgettable good times and memories you’ve given us. We’ve had some truly amazing guests over the years, and we’re sincerely disappointed to see this day come. Not a bad restaurant, close to home right of rt. 19 in Peters Township. I had the bacon burger cooked medium and it was really good also their chicken tortilla soup which is always awesome. Nice experience.

I always stop when I am around a Max and Erma’s to get their Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich with the baby greens salad! Service is fast, price is reasonable and it doesn’t take any longer than if I went into McDonald’s to eat at lunchtime!

This place was terrible. We sat for 10 minutes before our sever even came over to us. We never got menus and she asked us if we were ready to order. I got the combo asking for well done and no onions. Well it still was a bit pink which is not a huge problem but it had onions which I don’t like. We received our bill which was not even ours. Waited for another 15 minutes for her to return. I could have just paid for the 6 cookies and not my meals. After that she didn’t come back. The bathrooms were horrible. A complete mess. Would not recommend it.

Server was friendly but much more attentive to larger party tables, my beverage was empty for some time before I had to get her attention for a refill. I ordered a well done cheese burger with their “bottomless” fries. The burger was very pink in the middle, again had to find my server to have it cooked to order, and the wait for more fries was substantial. After the burger was cooked again I did enjoy it. Hope your visit will be great.

This was my first time eating at Max and Erma’s. I enjoyed my good. My steak was cooked perfectly. The plate was beautifully presented. The salad was bigger than expected and the croutons were some of the best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the meatloaf and got onion rings as his side. It was a huge stack of deliciously crispy onion rings. Overall, a little pricy but well worth it.

Nice casual restaurant. Good midday service. The waiter was happy to make me a fresh pot of coffee at 300 in the afternoon. He also got my wife a better glass of ice tea. The food was good too. Excellent burger and reliable onion soup. So my question is, why can you get a nice lunch at 3pm in McMurray, but its really hard to find downtown. Everyone is closed from 2 to 5. In any case, this place is recommended.

Good but used to be better. We no longer live in the area and hadn’t been to Max and Emma’s in a few years. I know we used to get the salads all the time. This time the salad was very small and really didn’t have a lot on it. It was good but not great. The Tortilla soup was very good I wished I had gotten a bowl of that instead of the cup. Service was excellent though. We would come back just based on the service.

My rating for the food is actually a 4+ but I reduced the overall to 3 stars due to my experience at the restaurant. Cashier needed help (she was gracious and polite). She needed help with the # if take out orders she had to handle. Poorly handled by management if there was any on the premises.
