We were looking for some local food and a good lunch spot along the way to our destination, and this is what we found fresh BBQ made to order with generous portions at a very reasonable price. Simple, delicious, and exactly what we needed for the trip.

Amazing flavour, tender, large portions. Great value an authentic place. Friendly.
Also, there is a gift store nearby which is on a trailer and they had great gifts.
Overall this stop has variety and you can interact with true locals so it was one of the more authentic spells of time during the holiday.

Unbelievable food and service. You feel the true spirit on the Road to Hana with this BBQ. A lot of love goes into this food. Would rate this a must stop on your way to Hana. $20 for a chicken plate and was plenty for 2 people.

I never rate anything on Google Maps, but giving them 5 stars. The pork ribs were amazing – some of the best I ever had. And the chicken was better than the chicken at any Texas BBQ place I’ve ever been to, and I lived in Texas 5 years.

This was a perfect stop on the Road to Hana for a meal! My husband and I shared a chicken plate and I’m so glad we did – it was plenty of food! It was served with rice and mixed steamed veggies. The food was delish!
Since there is no WiFi service, it a cash only as so many of the stops are so be prepared.

The chicken was juicy but the pork ribs were overly salty and dry. It comes with a scoop of rice and vegetables (unless they sold out the sides), the chicken was $18 and the ribs were $25. I personally preferred the chicken in terms of the taste but the ribs were more affordable because you got 3-4 large ribs. All in all, both had very strong smoky flavour if you like bbq I’d recommend this place while in Hana.

The BEST Huli Huli chicken and ribs on the island! Do not pass up on this spot! The chicken and ribs are cooked over charcoal that has been going for just the right amount of time. The meat was so flavorful and tender. It is next to a coffee stand and small retail spot on the road to Hana. You’ll see the smoke from the road.

We usually just pack a lunch when doing Road to Hana, but so happy we decided to stop and check this place out. Cameron was extremely welcoming and he is making some excellent food near Hana. All the meats are slow cooked over an open pit using Kiawe wood, a Hawaiian mesquite variant. We got the chicken and rib plate and the meats were delicious. As with most place on the RTH things cost a bit more, but the portion sizes here are very generous. Make sure you bring cash since they are unable to accept cards.

Broke da mouth! The meats are fantastic! Juicy, crisp dark meat chicken. Full, meaty pork ribs, crisp and smokey like bacon on the edges but succulent in the middle. The rice and veg could be improved but that won’t keep me from returning. Keep it up bruddah!

I think that this restaurant along the Hana Highway has changed names and ownership?! Now called Hana Huli Huli BBQ. When we went, I don’t think that they really changed the menu from what others are saying, but the name and configuration have changed. We otherwise really enjoyed the Huli Huli chicken and ribs which were well cooked. Definitely think that the rice is a better choice than frozen vegetables. Otherwise love the fact that they have multiple BBQ sauces and definitely try the local favorite Noh Hawaiian Bar-b-q sauce. Local beverages as well such as Aloha Maid. Parking can be tight and right out front.
