One of the best breakfast bagels I’ve had in a long time! The menu keeps it simple and they do what they do extremely well. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned, the egg was flavorful, the bagel was toasted just right. Also, they offer a really good dirty chai latte.

Great place to get coffee. My wife and I stopped here on our way back to our beach house and the lady was very kind to help us choose the coffee. Plus their coffee is fantastic. The lady behind the counter was super knowledgeable and was able to explain to us. We traditionally find a coffee spot at the beach to get coffee in the mornings and we just found our new place.

Good coffee with lots of options. There are some outdoor seats. The omelets were just okay. The service was really good! The staff gave my puppy some whipped cream while we were eating breakfast. Overall a decent coffee shop on the beach.

The staff were awesome! So friendly and really quick to get everything out to you. The coffee wasn’t the best I have ever had but it was still quite good. Definitely the place to go if you are in Sunset beach for some coffee and pastries. And they have a lunch place right next door so you can keep the good times rolling.

Consider this a warning. Do not step foot in this place.
Food: mediocre at best. They offered whole grain pancakes instead of regular pancakes. Normal people eat pancakes BECAUSE they’re sweet…no one wants whole grain to be the only option. Each of our three plates came out completely separate times. And by that I mean 15 min apart for each of them. Who does that? Coffee was okay. No speciality or quality coffee. Must pay $1 for a refill. Which is not worth it for mediocre coffee.
Service: incompetent. They completely forgot about my latte and I had to go up and ask them again. They didn’t even remember what I ordered.
Lastly: absolutely no decor appeal. This place has no idea what it is. Nothing matches and who in the world has a Zoltar machine in the restaurant. Oh, and was out of order.
If you want a good breakfast place, I suggest hitting up Blueberry Grill in North Myrtle Beach. Phenomenal.

Drive 40 minutes for the breakfast menu they advertise only to find out they no longer serve a breakfast menu and only have 2 items to eat. Since Covid customer service and expectations of quality service are over. It’s a simple process to update your menu if you own the business and save people waisting gas and time. Instead I was told by her that she is 72 and not in the mental capacity to handle that. Won’t ever be back. All the have is coffee and wine and about 3 pastries to eat. Waist of time. Update your menu or sell the business if your “mental” capacity is not sufficient enough to operate it properly.

Mavericks Java is a delightful little coffee spot right across from the Sunset Beach Park. We send our vacation guests there, and they often text thanking me for the recommendation. We love to have breakfast there, and then enjoy a stroll through the park with our delicious coffee sometimes sitting on the swings beside the Waterway to watch the boats go by.

Went here before heading to walk on the beach. I got a Sunset Turtle Mocha and my husband a Mocha Frappe. Both were delicious! They have 3 non dairy options (coconut, almond, and soy), so my day was made as a lactose intolerant individual. My drink was so good, I thought it was made with real milk. Would definitely go back next time we are here.
