Mauve has an elegant, modern city vibe with an incredible wait staff. The servers and bartenders are extremely attentive and make you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. The owner, Nick, is fantastic—he’s always present, talking with customers, checking in, and making sure everyone has what they need. This place is run amazingly, and it’s so refreshing to see a modern, hip bar like this on the south side of the city. And definitely ask for Jenny—she’s amazing and made some absolutely incredible drinks.

I visited Mauve Cocktail Bar in Shorewood today, and it never disappoints. I live within walking distance, which makes it even better. The place is always clean, has a great vibe, and feels very welcoming. The drinks are consistently well-made and unique — I can’t remember a time when I stopped at just one! I also love the dark lighting and beautiful chandelier décor. The staff is always friendly and attentive as well.

Best kept secret in the area! Consistently great food and creative cocktails. They put a lot of thought into both the flavor and the presentation of drinks. Menus are seasonal, with a reliable old fashioned (ask for it with rye!) and an extensive martini selection. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, quiet enough for conversation but lively. It’s a good place for a date, drinks after work, or a small group. The staff is warm and friendly, and service is amazing.

This place is something special! The atmosphere, food, and drinks were great! Although, the best part was the incredible service. All of the workers were so kind and did an amazing job. The owners and staff are amazing! It was a great place to chill and have a cocktail. The drinks are creative and delicious. We didn’t get any food but they have a really intriguing menu with great snack and appetizer choices. Atmosphere was calming and it was very nicely decorated.
