I just stopped there I just stopped by and had my wife pick up an XL pizza we ordered — a $40 pizza. We got home five minutes later expecting a good pizza night with our kids, and it turned into the complete opposite.
The pizza looked anything but fresh. It was completely burned. When you have a pizza that thin and it’s still burned all over, that says everything. It honestly looked like old slices that had been thrown back in the oven to be reheated for the fifth time that day.
Paying $40 for an XL pizza and receiving something that looks and tastes like leftovers is unacceptable.
I’ve been living in Hollywood for 20 years and have ordered from Mauro’s many times without ever having this problem. But this time was my last.

Love having an authentic New York City style pizzeria that reminds me of my family homeland in the neighborhood. A bit more expensive than what you’d get in NYC, but the trade-off is that they’re YUUUGE! And delicioso! Plus, it’s a quick in-n-out spot with friendly, attentive staff that definitely deserve a raise. Plus, it’s in a walkable, easily accessible, multi-modal neighborhood that double down on the reminiscent nature of the great City of New York.
P.S. I personally didn’t like the ham on Hawaiian pizza, but everything else makes up for it.

The food was great , there is no denying that .. but the service ( gentleman with short hair wearing a hat) definitely needs major improvement … the restaurant opens at noon.. I walked in with my daughter at 11:57am . I was not greeted ..it wasn’t until 2 gentleman came in that I was acknowledged. I proceeded to order for my daughter and I .. 2 slices and one order of garlic bread .. I was told the garlic bread would take in excess of 20 minutes because they had just opened ., I still ordered them … and now at 12: 24 I’m still waiting on them .. just simple garlic knots .. needless to say I wont be back .. I work hard for my money and to not get acknowledged and then treating me like they are doing me a favor by giving me a meal that I paid for is just too much

My husband and I had been wanting to try these pizzas for a long time, and today we finally had the chance to go, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. The customer service is terrible! They have some young people working there with a terrible attitude. We definitely won’t be going back because of that, and they charged us $30 for two slices! I think we should have gone to a different pizza place. Besides, the pizzas are frozen, like the ones you buy at the supermarket, and they just add the toppings. They’re not freshly made; they’re straight from the freezer.

I really did not like the experience at this location. It’s almost like the employees are scared to talk to you and you gotta beat the words out of them. They left the pizza entirely too long in that oven and it’s already too thin and it dried up the cheese. They have no silverware, no cups, just a pizza box and some napkins and figure it out. So how do people eat calzones are they supposed to eat it like a sandwich? To add insult to injury, the food is so expensive and to get that level of service. Uh No! I gave two stars because they at least got the food out in a reasonable amount of time.

I’ve been a loyal customer here for years, often stopping by at least once a week. Today, after a long day at school, my daughter wanted a slice of pizza. Unfortunately, she accidentally dropped her slice outside and it got covered in dirt.
I went back inside to kindly ask if they could replace it, and the gentleman at the counter — short with black hair and wearing a hat — told me I would need to pay for another slice because it wasn’t their fault she dropped it. I understood that, but I hoped for a bit of kindness or understanding, especially for a child. I explained that I didn’t have extra money for another slice, but he still refused.
I left feeling very disappointed. After years of being a regular customer, I expected a little more compassion and customer care. Sometimes a small gesture, even something as simple as a $5 slice, can go a long way in showing goodwill and appreciation for loyal customers.

The pizza is absolutely delicious but I never heard of a pizza place without plastic knives and forks ! We had to cut the huge slice of pizza with our hands while it was pipping hot and it was messy to say the least!!
Plus no plastic cups available to share a huge bottle of drink between the two of us!
So just come for the pizza but bring your own cup and utensils if you want to sit outside and supposedly dine 🙁

If you want the same type of Pizza like the slices which are usually very thin order the expensive xl.. Large is still considered thin but definitely not as thin as the xl which sometimes you can see thru it in the light.. Also varies depends on who’s making it.. Expensive gamble to take every time you order pizza.. Needs to be consistent..also when buying the slices..the size shouldnt vary that much. Recently had 3 singles and it fit into 1 box. Usually 2 slices barely fits..if your going to do the giant slice thing than make sure every slice is giant. Back to the consistency factor
