Owned and operated by Maurizio and his family. Maurizio came to the United States at the age of 15 from Palermo, Sicily where he started working in the Italian restaurant business. Opened his own in 1984 and has been making people the best Italian food you can find in the Hampton roads area ever since. You can find him at the restaurant daily so stop in and say Hi and enjoy once of our authentic dishes made from family recipes.

I LOVE the atmosphere here! Cozy plus Josh Groban singing! All the food was AMAZING! We got the Papa’s for two ($56)! The manicotti & chicken parm were my favs. My kids’ pizzas ($12 each) looked great as well. (They also have pina coladas! $9) The cannoli & tiramisu were delish ($8 each)! All the pasta is homemade! Soooo many dessert options! And wine!!! (My 9 ounce moscato was $12.) We were a walk-in. They also didn’t give us any issues over our service dog.

I’ve had a few meals here, generally I’ll sit at the bar, solo.
I had the pizza Margherita, and it was delicious.
And I had the veal Serrentino, and it might have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten.
For dessert I had gelato, it was good.
But not take a photo good.
The veal Serrentino is veal, prociutto, mozzarella, in a white wine, mushroom Marsala sauce.
It’s really quite good.
I paired my meal with a bottle of Nero d’Avola.
And it was very good.

If you’re looking for an incredible dining experience in Williamsburg, look no further than Maurizio’s. While the food is phenomenal, it was the world-class hospitality that truly made our night special.
We started the evening with a round of flavorful cocktails that were perfectly balanced and expertly crafted. The vibe of the restaurant is welcoming and authentic, making it the perfect spot for a date night or a lively dinner with friends.
The kitchen is firing on all cylinders. We sampled a wide variety of dishes, and every single one was a hit:
Appetizers: The bruschetta was fresh and vibrant, and the garlic knots were pillows of buttery, garlicky perfection.
Main Courses: The short rib ravioli was incredibly rich and tender, and the chicken scarpariello had that perfect tangy, savory kick.
Pizza & Pasta: You can’t go to Maurizio’s without trying the pizza—the crust was spot on—and the pasta was amazing.
The food was very good, but the service elevated the experience to another level. A massive shoutout to Nathan, who made our visit seamless. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and guided us through the menu with great recommendations that we ended up loving. It’s rare to find service this attentive and genuine.
Maurizio’s is a standout! Go for the pizza, but stay for the incredible service. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely fabulous. We stopped at this place as we were traveling up I64 to Short Pump, based solely on Google Map reviews and they didn’t disappoint. Service, food and atmosphere were all 5⭐. We live about 40 minutes away but that will not stop us from returning.

The food was very good. My friend and I got the dinner for 2. It’s a lot of food!..The spaghetti sauce was just a little sweet for me but very tasty. I bought a dessert “to go”. It was a “tube”doughnut with cannoli filling inside. The doughnut, being cold ,was a little hard so I microwaved it a bit and it was good ( especially with the chocolate on both ends). The only 2 things ,that weren’t a big deal, we were right by a side exit door and someone went out and cold air flooded in. The second thing was it got pretty noisy in the small second section of the restaurant.

Best Italian seafood dish I’ve had in years. Flounder sorrentino was a large portion enough for two. Then dessert, wow, a rich cheesecake and a light pistachio creme cake. Everything fresh, homemade pastas, old world recepies. Attentive wait staff. An experience one should not miss.

Decided that we needed something to eat after an all day at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg. This place is right down the street from the park. When you walk in you can smell the food and know it’s going to be good. It’s a small quaint little restaurant the seating is awesome. You’re not on top of each other and can have an intimate nice little dinner, eating surrounded by people. The decor is Nice. The service that we received from Abraham our server was outstanding. He was very attentive.

Service and atmosphere were great. Plenty of seating available. We called prior to arriving and we’re seated immediately.
Servers are really nice but the food lacked seasoning and did not taste good at all. I had to add a lot of black pepper and then red pepper to my grilled chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The Sicilian pizza had too much cheese and did not taste good, we had to throw it away. The salad seemed fresh but not the best I ever had. The calamari was not the best I ever had.
Our children ate their food and one of our children enjoyed the calamari.

We ate here tonight and it was amazing!! Strongly recommend and if you go, ask for Bojana to be your server. She was the BEST!! So nice and made some amazing drinks!! She checked in often and made sure we had an amazing experience. When we told her how happy we were with the food and asked if it was a mom and pop type restaurant, she made sure to call over the owner who was on the floor. He stopped by to chat. What a great night. So glad to gave this spot a try. Thanks again Bojana, you are a great server!! Delicious meal!!!
