Their coconut porter is a favorite. We actually prefer their regular coconut porter over their imperial. They have several IPAs that are quite good too.
The food was fine. The “jalapeño bacon burger” was good even though it barely had any jalapeños or bacon on it. It had two half pieces of bacon which probably doesn’t count as a bacon burger.
The truffle fries were good.
The server was great.
So why the missing star? It’s just that they are too… corporate? Formulaic? Too high-end generic. No soul? Hard to put our finger on it but we both felt that we were just given the experience. It’s good but generic.
We really prefer smaller craft breweries that truly care about how the customer feels when they go there.
This place was clean, nice looking, had good beer and food, and had very nice service, but we walked away thinking… meh.
This guy took our drink order, then vanished. Another girl took over our table, and the guy came back at the end to give us the check. It was really odd, considering he didn’t assist us the entire time. The service wasn’t bad after we got the assistance we needed; it just came off as unorganized and confusing. I enjoy going here because the vibe is relaxing, almost as if you are on vacation. I prefer this location over the one in Waikiki, which is actually closer to my house.
I do not drink but I enjoy going and haveing a non-alcoholic beer that they have.
Our waitress was awesome! My chicken sandwich was good. My rum juice was perfect!
The space is lively but relaxed, making it an enjoyable place to hang out without feeling crowded or rushed. The beer selection is a highlight—excellent IPAs alongside a solid collection of Japanese beers, offering something for a wide range of tastes.
The location is another big plus. It’s convenient, easy to get to, and has plenty of parking, which makes stopping by simple and stress-free. A dependable choice in Kailua for good drinks, good energy, and overall ease.
High quality fresh food and very tasty! “The Origami” pizza was just superb.
There would be friendly pigeons flying around but they would not disturb you!
Started with crispy garlic black truffle fries, and we each ordered a pizza. Food came out quick and it was tasty. For dessert I had a root beer float and hubby & daughter had the adult version, made with a coconut porter of some sort.
Nice & refreshing! I do recommend
