I never got to try Matt’s Place before the change in ownership, but the group of women we sat next to were raving to us about how it’s just like the original and I believe them! What a treat to have a gem like this revived for Butte. I’m only sad that they’re not open in the evening, because I’m seriously craving a burger right now! Wishing you guys all the success, you deserve it!

Very nice place! Google says they are not open for dine in, but they are. The place was very clean. The service was impeccable! They make their own ice cream. The burger was juicy and not bland. The fries OMG amazing. Onion rings were hot and crispy. We were the only ones there, but by the time we left it was very busy. For the same price as Wendy’s or McDonald’s you can get real food that is so much better! I highly recommend Matt’s place.

Certainly not “Matts” , burger was greasy, not real fries, order was wrong! Ordered fry, coke n 2 cheeseburger with everything, got fake fries Mexican made coke and double greasy cheeseburger patties with mustard n onions! Grease dripping out of bun. A far cry from the wonderful burger n homemade fries that Matts was famous for. All to go for $30. Ate in car no room to sit at 11:30 am. Won’t return!

It is not Mae’s Matt’s but they are doing a great job. The shakes look luscious (I didn’t order one this time-instead I had fries which I asked for extra crispy-and they were!) There wasn’t the free conversation that used to occur with Mae and her “regulars” or friends, but they people are polite and clean. The prices are unfortunately higher due to the current economy. But a Coke in a bottle is always a fun thing for me! I miss Mae (mainly for her knowledge about Butte and my family and her wit) but I encourage you to come enjoy the burgers and ambiance.

I pulled over in their , what looked like still, abandoned ( for years) parking lot. Several for sale signs still up. There were a couple of traffic cones blocking off most of the area , which I did not enter. I had pulled over to eat a on the go burritos with my little girl. They were hot and messy and I didn’t want her to get burned. The owner (unbeknownst to me , as such, at the time)came out angrily telling me to get off her property.
That’s NOT how Butte people behave. We help each other. Fences are for sitting… That kind of thing. That’s real Montana
I don’t know,,,, if I was opening a restaurant I’d be ecstatic someone was already eating in my parking lot. Maybe in a Washington food truck/tent she can get away with yelling at strangers for no reason, but this is a restaurant.
I don’t care how good ( or not)their food is . HARD PASS.
