The food at Mattone’s was really good. The pasta seemed homemade and was amazing. The desserts were really good, too – we had mousse cake and tiramisu. I found the prices reasonable. My only complaint would be having to order and pay in advance for drinks, then mains, then dessert. You spend a lot of time on your phone, when you’re out on a date night. But the food makes up for it, and I’m not one to mark a restaurant down for something that is fixable and doesn’t reflect the food! But wanted to mention it, as it will affect reviews of the place! But all in all, we were impressed with the food and would come back!

The Valentine’s Day dinner menu was by far THE BEST meal my husband and I have ever had!!! The atmosphere is clean and classy. The food is honestly unforgettable with flavours that are both subtle and complex. Can’t wait to come back to try the burgers and pizza. Thank you Mattone’s for an 11/10 experience

Well I’d been meaning to go . My son took me there for my birthday . I was surprised by the prices no entree under 28 which I get it with the price of rent . But pasta is one of the least expensive things to make
It would have been nice to have more variety fettchino Alfredo with chicken or bacon and garlic
toast for 20-25 would have been great and perhaps a put your own pasta together with a few kinds of sauces and ingredients . I believe the salad with brussel sprouts cranberrys almonds or walnuts was , pricy at 28.
Just feels a little over and portion wise the lasagna was good but had no trouble finishing. Could have slightly bigger perhaps another layer

Food was delicious, view is beautiful but I really think they need to rethink there service option. I don’t like you have to tip before you eat or get served. I selected no tip and then tipped with cash afterwards. The service was mediocre but the food was delicious enough that I would go again. I would have given 5 stars based on food alone. They forgot an item on my plate blind order and I had to go searching for someone to get it for me with no apology. It may seem minor but if they had servers checking on you i think it would provide a better experience.

Fantastic experience.
The food was amazing and loved the atmosphere. Ordering system they have in place works fantastic even when we had to use the call button a few times response time was quick.
10/10 will be back for sure next time we are in town.

So happy to have a restaurant back in this location as we were fans of the original – the new building is gorgeous!! Spotless and the views are magnificent- this would be a great venue for a wedding or any party- the staff was so welcoming and kind and the owner was even there who has great backstory of winning a TV show- Bravo and well done on the endeavor

The food was definitely the highlight!. We had the seafood pasta and the mushroom ravioli with garlic bread. Definitely the best garlic bread I’ve had in a while. Both main dishes were delicious. The seafood pasta comes with muscles and prawns. It would have been nice to have a bit more variety of seafood but the taste was very good. The mushroom ravioli was lighter, creamy, and fresh tasting.
The tiramisu was very delich and big enough to share for two.
The reason I gave it a 4 star was due to the pay and tip before the meal process. This was a different style for me and decreased the elevated experience this restaurant brings. It’s difficult to tip before the service, and we found the service just ok. There wasn’t much checking in how your food is or if you need anything else. Once you paid, you feel a bit forgotten about. But overall still a great restaurant and I’ll be back when I come through town again.

What a place! Such a delightful and truly the best Italian restaurant in Campbell River. The food was absolutely delicious, and a special thanks to the staff—from start to finish the service was outstanding. We were camping at Salmon Point RV Resort and decided to come here for dinner on our last night at the campground. The butternut squash ravioli was delicious. I told the staff that it took everything in me not to lick the plate! The ocean views were incredible and the interior of the restaurant was spotless and modern. We are so glad we went!
While some reviewers have mentioned not loving the ordering system, I actually found it very efficient. It’s a style you often see in larger cities, so it might just be new to some visitors. If you’re comfortable using a QR code and your phone, it’s a breeze. And if you’re not particularly phone-savvy, there are plenty of friendly staff happy to help. Our food arrived quickly and was excellent across the board.

I popped in with my cousin while visiting family in town and we absolutely loved it here. The views were gorgeous and the food was delicious, I particularly loved the seafood pasta. I’m very excited to have a restaurant like this in town and will be paying another visit when I’m back to visit the family.
