It was tasty and well seasoned. Even though the chicken was grilled, it still had a nice crispy feel. The salad was fresh and a good side.
So I have been here numerous times. Yes. I continue to come here mainly just for food and the environment of watching sports games etc. Normally I give a more comprehensive explanation on rating but all I’ll say is.
Food: its good, about what you expect. Havent had my food bad.
Atmosphere: great for watching sports games. Thats all.
Service: the people are really nice. Thats it. Other than that its awful. Spent an entire hour and a half and the only time our waitress came by was to ask us for drinks, ask us what we want to eat and that was it. The cook from the back came by more and dropped our food off. Never even got a refill and just to get the bill, we had to physically go and look for someone to get the bill and ask for to go container. The service is absolutely horrible.
Walking into the establishment, it feels old and dirty. They seem to be aiming for a nostalgic pub vibe but definitely miss the mark. The atmosphere comes off as dull.
They have a “seat yourself” policy, which I don’t mind at all; however, I can only imagine how complicated that must be for the servers. By allowing people to choose their own seats, they’re not maximizing the space properly. For example, a table meant for six might only be occupied by three, which is inefficient.
Our service wasn’t terrible, but it was far from great. Our server was a middle-aged man with glasses who spoke in a monotone voice and didn’t have a welcoming demeanor when approaching our table. When I asked for a drink menu, he responded, “We don’t have one,” but didn’t take the time to list the options available. If your establishment doesn’t serve cocktails (which every liquor-serving place should), at least provide a menu featuring the drinks you do have, organized by type (e.g., tap, bottle, bourbon, tequila, etc.). The margarita my mom ordered was a solid 3 out of 10, indicating that the bar could use better training. A margarita is one of the easiest drinks to make.
The food was basic and nothing I would go out of my way for. I requested my wings to be well done, but their policy is that they can’t sauce wings cooked that way, so I had to get the sauce on the side. If I order sauced wings, I expect them to come sauced, regardless of how I specify the meat’s doneness. They were very underwhelming and tasteless. My mom ordered a pizza, and it arrived burnt. Our server never checked to see how we were doing or if everything came out okay. The next time he saw us was to ask if we were ready for the bill. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my mom tip so low in my life.
Lastly, there’s a lottery ticket machine right at the front door. For a food establishment, I found this quite tacky, and it contributes to crowding right at the entrance.
Overall, I doubt I will return unless the management changes and the restaurant flow and food improves.
