They have a incredible menu! I ate here a few times now, every item I’ve had from the chicken to the burgers or the eggs and pancakes breakfast, is just delightful. The table setting is great with everything that you need and the staff is always on time and very friendly. Also don’t be afraid to try their bloody Mary’s! Very tasty!

Service was great. No wait on a Sunday morning at 915. Food was OK. Could use a little fix up. Everyone was working hard during our visit.

The chicken and waffles were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The chicken was so juicy and the coating was perfectly crispy, not greasy at all. The wafflewas fluffy, golden, and just sweet enough. Pouring the hot honey over everything was a game-changer.
Our server was super friendly and quick, and the whole place just had a nice, clean, classic vibe. No fuss, just really great food. I highly recommend it!

One of our favorite places. Service is always welcoming and friendly! We have never had a bad meal here. The fruit cup is always full of fresh strawberries and bananas. Avocado toast topped with eggs and tomatoes is delicious. Husband loves the mushroom Swiss burger and eggs Benedict.

Probably my favorite breakfast place in all of
North and South Carolina. The staff is always extremely friendly and right on top of things. I haven’t had a bad meal here yet and have been back 5 times since we moved here three weeks ago. We are lucky it’s only a 30 second drive from where we live!
Their Benedict’s are very good. They have a nicely balanced Hollandaise and their English muffins griddled to perfection.
The beignets are a little different than what I’m used to but come with this raspberry compote/jam that is to die for!
And the biscuits and gravy are literally the best I’ve had in my entire 31 year life so far. I’m a biscuits and gravy connoisseur so trust me when I say this place is my favorite!
Also, you can’t beat the prices. This place definitely seems to be mostly a hotspot for locals but I would advise everyone give it a try!
Make sure to take a look at their weekday specials! My current favorite day to go is Thursday where you can get two biscuits smothered in sausage gravy and two eggs. ( I like to mix my runny yolks in with my biscuits and gravy ; that’s why they are up on top in the pic!)
We will be coming back very frequently.

Ugh if I could give this place more stars I would! I stumbled upon this place years ago after leaving Myrtle Beach as every breakfast place was packed so we kept driving. I am so glad I went here! Since then, we make sure to go everytime we go to South Carolina and have turned our friends onto this place as well.
The prices are great for what you get and servers are so friendly. We went yesterday morning on our way in and made the mistake of going to NHOP this morning instead. Never again. Matthews Pancake House will always be our breakfast spot.

Hidden gem! It looks like your average greasy spoon diner, but this is some of the best breakfast food ever! Sweet or savory, they have something for everyone. I ordered the Salted Caramel Banana Stuffed French Toast, and my wife got Crabcakes Benedict. We would take a few bites and swap plates. It was sooo good! My kids loved the massive sausage links and fluffy pancakes. With so many tasty options I wish I would have tried them sooner. Oh, and our waiter was the friendliest, most patient guy!

Absolutely love this place. The food is always amazing. There is something on the menu for everyone, not just breakfast items. The inside looks just how you would expect it too. This place is well loved. It can get busy at times. I would eat here everyday if I could.

My wife and I are always out and about and looking for new places to try for breakfast. On our way to Toasted up the road but since they didn’t open until 9am decided to stop in at Matthew’s instead. So glad we did. Such an extensive and creative breakfast menu it was hard to decide but I went with the peach cobbler pancake platter…no need for syrup on these delicious pancakes, close to the best flavor I have ever had. Both of us enjoyed our meals, very reasonably priced and served by our always smiling and friendly server Megan. We will definitely be back…!
