Opening in 2022, Matteo’s is the fourth La Cabaña family restaurant. We are here to serve families, big and small, with our vast menu that is sure to please every member of your family (even the picky ones)! We strive to treat every patron like family (just ask our regulars) and hope we see you soon! We take pride in our fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and fast service no matter what you order. We offer a variety of Traditional Mexican Dishes like Guisados, and American Dishes like Patty Melts (if you don’t like Mexican food, you’re wrong, but it’s okay, we’re here for you). We even have some Tex-Mex Dishes like ground beef tacos (yeah, you won’t find those in Mexico).

Awesome dinner at Matteo’s Mexican Grill, Pilgrim Plaza, Germantown! This place is a hidden gem! Server Juan was professional, friendly, outgoing, helpful with menu choices and always had a smile. He was very respectful of my vegan diet, informing me what options would work for me and offering a substitute for a side item. Food was amazingly seasoned – super flavorful! Portions were of good size – took some home! Decor was beautiful and fun! Will definitely visit again!

I love this place! We had a family dinner here and enjoyed a warm and welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. I had the best (authentic!) mole that I’d had in a long time, and the waiter advised my dad on which drinks he could recommend based on the fresh ingredients they had. I will come back often!

We have been here many times in the past no complaints. We went for dinner on 10/7/25 ordered enchilada with mole. Mole was terrible I even asked if it was mole. Waitress said it was. The music was brain numbing. Too loud and asked what the heck it was. Waitresses just smiled. Every selection had same pounding beat. We were very disappointed quite a change from our last visit. Is there new management or what.

We picked up catering for a 10 person birthday party. Got the taco bar for 150 dollars, it came in organized pans with serving spoons. You can pick 2 meats, I think chicken is the best. What was really nice they put it together with only 2 hours notice, thanks Matteo’s.

Popular Mexican restaurant in strip mall in Germantown. They take reservations! They have a decent ayce fish fry on Fridays, Extensive menu, large portions and fair prices. Study the walls while in the restraunt, and you will find shapes of women painted cleverly. Friendly staff.

Love this place and I love Mondays for $6 Sangria and small margarita for $3.50 plus 1/2 off appetizers during Happy hour 2:30-5 and daily drink specials! The food is great and everyone is very friendly!

First time my wife and I were here and it was delicious! My wife got the beef enchiladas and I got the pork carnitas tacos. Great food and fast, friendly service too. We will definitely be back!
