BEST AZ JAPANESE FOOD Ate there twice!!!! In a week!! So good I love their pork katsu, and the rice is such good quality! The miso soup is perfect and there’s so many little tofu in it! And we liked the matcha ice cream as well (bf rates 10/10)!!

The food was subpar, the water tasted like it came from a bathtub and the matcha drink tasted like watered down tap and old grass. but the main complaint is the atmosphere and the service. When I have to get my own everything from silverware, re filling my own drinks, Togo plates and all the staff is doing is sitting behind the bar on there phone is crazy. Won’t be going back again! Be careful before going here!

Had a great meal here, delicious miso soup, beef croquettes, and pork katsu curry plate. Ordering and payment was done via your phone or a provided tablet. Service was quick friendly and helpful, but seemed to leave you alone unless you asked for something, a plus in my opinion. Will be back!

The last review seems pretty accurate. Great atmosphere! The music and decor really make this a fun place. Unfortunately my food was only okay at best. Tonkotsu ramen with pork didn’t look like the picture. 2 strips of bacon was the pork. Noodles are a step above instant. Sake bomb was great. You order and pay from a QR code at your seat/table, not enough servers on staff when I was there.

I found the ramen delicious and loved that there were so many add on options as well a chicken broth options. I think the chaotic area it is in (a busy downtown college are) may have lowered its rankings but it really was great when I had it on a Monday – chill vibe – again unique that it had chicken broth options and tons of appetizers. Easy self serve water and iPad order as you eat option, then can call the waiter – very modern. Outdoor and indoor seating.

We were excited to try Matsuri today. I do think they may have been short-staffed today. Tables stayed dirty long after patrons left. I got chicken skewers and tempura veggies. The veggies were good but the skewers came out ice cold as if they had been cooked earlier and then came out of the refrigerator. My kid got katsu chicken with rice and miso soup. She liked the soup and rice but the chicken was strange and chewy. She’s spent the better part of this evening in the bathroom with diarrhea

I love the vibe and the atmosphere! Ramen is amazing and have various options to choose from! They’re bar is also top notch. With a variety of Japanese sake and drinks to choose from. Anime plays in the background making you feel like youre part of the anime! Try it out you’d love it. And best time to got are Thursday evenings very calm!

Super cool vibe, very kind and attentive staff, but the ramen is a little lackluster. Y’all, that broth is insanely thiccccc. Like weirdly so. Maybe it was an off day, I don’t know.
But I gotta say, I really enjoyed the ambiance here. The decor, the music, the cups with anime on them… super rad. To order food, everything is done through an online portal, which is intuitive enough. And once the order is submitted, things come out pretty quick. We had to flag down staff to ask for things like napkins and to-go boxes, but we never felt like we were inconveniencing them.
When ordering, I wrote a note asking if they do anything for birthdays, and they surprised us at the end with a little ice cream dish for my daughter. That alone made my night.

My partner and I tried this cute place out on Saturday night. He had the beef udon, I opted for the spicy vegan ramen. Both were very flavorful and delish! The atmosphere is reminiscent of the streets of Japan. Definitely excited to go back and explore more on the menu.

The food was awful (minus the chicken). Ramen was a step above instant, and the sushi was honestly at, or below, the quality that you’d find at a grocery store. The texture of the salmon was that of a fish that had been frozen and thawed hundreds of times. The only redeeming aspects of the restaurant was the atmosphere and the karaage – honestly it was pretty good lol.
Go here for the cheap beer and chicken, keep expectations very low and you’ll do great
