Hola Indian Restaurant is exceptional! We ordered the chai, yogi samosas, chicken tikka masala, saag murgh, and garlic naan. The samosas were served with a tray of sauces that were so bright and flavorful! The samosas are a large size and were out quickly making them the perfect appetizer. The chai was flavorful and perfectly balanced. We watched as the sauce for the saag murgh was blended fresh, and you can absolutely taste the freshness in each bite. The tikka masala had lovely bits of fresh peppers and onions, which added a lovely texture and flavor to the dish. I can confidently state that this is the best Indian food I’ve ever had!! Nothing was too spicy, but everything was so flavorful!! It was so comforting after a tiring day. Also, the service was wonderful. We were kindly greeted and shown so much generosity and felt so welcome. I’m so impressed with the food and the service!
I strongly recommend Hola!! They offer take out, as well!

We lucked out and had the restaurant to ourselves. Everything was SO good. The curry (lamb Rogan Josh) brought us back to life. I wasn’t expecting such good Indian food in Costa Rica but I’m here for it!!! The naan was also fresh and wonderful. We got the avocado chaat puri salad and enjoyed it — super fresh. 10/10. I’m sad we only found this place on our last night in Uvita!

This was one of our best meals in Costa Rica (having been here for 5 days already). The chef (Rohit) was so incredibly kind and fast at preparing our meals. Right after ordering, I saw him chopping tomatoes and onions, about 15 min later we have steaming, freshly prepared chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, rice, garlic naan, and house salad on our table ready to eat. I was astounded as to how quickly he prepared the freshly made, delicious meal. Turns out he has been a chef for about a decade!
House salad was deliciously crisp with fresh flavors, nicely balanced with the fattiness of the avocado.
Both the Chicken curry and the chicken tikka masala were juicy and flavorful. Spicy sauce on the side added some good heat.
Rice was cooked well.
Garlic Naan was fresh and had a nice crisp with lovely fragrant garlic.
Finally the dessert bread was soft with a touch of sweetness and tangy-ness from the strawberry and passion fruit preserves. Best way to describe it for me was a milk bread with sweet, fruity, nutty toppings. Delicious!!!

Great food options with excellent spices. The menu is reflective of Northern Indian cuisine. The beef Kadhai reminded me of my friend’s mother’s Chapli Kebabs. The butter chicken entree was heavy on tomato and spices instead of using cream to create a diluted sauce. We will have to visit this restaurant again!

We hesitated at first about trying Indian food in Costa Rica, but this place completely surprised us. Everything is made from scratch like paneer, yogurt, and even the breads. Seeing missi roti on the menu was an unexpected highlight.
Our server, Dhanveer, and the chef are both from Uttarakhand, India, and it shows in the authenticity and warmth of the experience.
The desserts, including kulfi and halwa, are also prepared in-house, which is rare even compared to many North American Indian restaurants that rely on frozen or pre-made items.
If you’re in town and craving something truly flavorful and different, this spot is absolutely worth a visit.

We enjoyed our Thursday evening at Hola India and highly recommend for authentic, quality, Indian cuisine. This is our second time here and we will make it a regular stop when we’re in Ojochal. The Butter Chicken was super tender and tasty again and really enjoyed the Seafood soup as an addition. Accompaniments included basmati rice and of course Naan fresh fired in their hot oven… buttered is our favorite way to enjoy it. A few Imperial Lights helped cool the flavorful medium level spice we ordered. Pricing included an additional naan to go + three beer.

We love Indian food and very happy to find this lovely restaurant with the authentic flavours and loving service. First we found the restaurant in Manuel Antonio and came here to find it’s just as excellent.

We’d ordered the calamari Marsala (not pictured), butter chicken, and maharaj seafood curry and garlic naan. This was a gem find and couldn’t be happier. My partner and I had been traveling around Costa Rica for almost 10 days and found mostly mediocre meals. But this place has been our favorite! The staff are laidback and even one of the cooks came out to check to see how our meals was!
I would say comparable prices to US and typical price ranges in Costa Rica. Definitely a must try! It is slightly hidden, but located near a Bahia Ballena gas station and Restaurant Los Barriles
