Ordered the strawberry matcha latte. Had a bit of a coffee after taste, which I really liked. It’s beautiful and came out quickly. You can taste the quality. Ended up being about $8.91. I believe they have more flavors in the shop (at least for the lattes) and less listed on their website. They also have restrooms for the customer inside! Great little place to study.

Great dessert shop! I mostly the shaved ice with soft serve on top. The soft serve is really good, especially the ube and matcha combo. The portions are quite large too. One of my go-to dessert spots! The staff are really nice and hardworking too! The atmosphere is nice, especially the little nook with the couches. Though sometimes it gets crowded and they run out of soft serve 🙁

Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations as we evaluated the menu.
I got the hot matcha tea, unsweetened. The serving size was larger than expected, but still had body and bold flavor.
My wife got the matcha latte float with Ube soft serve. I don’t believe she took a breath, because it was gone QUICK!
We’re glad we drove the hour and a half to get here

I’ve been coming here for a while and recently tried out their mango sticky rice sundae. Honestly not really a fan of the mango ice cream — it was a bit too sour and didn’t taste like mango to me. Also not sure if the toppings on the sundae match the overall flavor.

However, their matcha soft serve has always been good, especially mixed with their seasonal flavor of ube. Their shaved ice desserts are also good to share with a small group, although most of the dessert ends up being ice and syrup at the bottom. The toppings within the shaved ice are a good flavor combination.

There’s limited parking at the front; I usually like to park in the larger lot in the back. It was pretty busy last time we went, with a line snaking out the door, but seating should be relatively easy to find (some people order to go).

The matcha felt really rich in terms of texture, slightly on the sweeter side, but I had the ube foam matcha and banana pudding matcha and they were nice!

The service was quick. Very polite. Moderately priced. You get a lot for your money. Matcha ice cream was very nice. Too much ice in the black sesame latte but otherwise it was good. Not impressed with the branding (basic sticker on cup). A decent amount of seating. VERY WARM/HUMID inside though.

Chill area to do work or study. Hit or miss with the quality of the matcha. Sometimes super yummy, may be times you get a drink that has the fishy taste. They almost never have the food options available no matter when you go, options seem tasty though. They’re just non existent. The front door is left open year round, so it gets fairly warm inside during warmer seasons. The chill from outside hits during winter.

As a visitor from Texas, I was beyond impressed with my experience at Matcha Cafe Maiko. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was welcoming and calming—exactly the kind of environment I look for when I want to relax or get some studying done. The café has a clean, modern aesthetic with a touch of traditional Japanese influence, making it a cozy yet sophisticated spot to enjoy some matcha and unwind.

What truly blew me away, however, was the service. The barista was incredibly efficient—my drink was made and handed to me in under 15 seconds. I’ve visited plenty of cafes across the country, and I’ve never seen drinks prepared that quickly without compromising quality. It was clear that the staff is well-trained, professional, and committed to offering the best customer experience possible.

The matcha itself was phenomenal. You can instantly taste the difference in quality—they use real, fresh matcha that’s rich, earthy, and smooth without being bitter. I tried the iced matcha latte and a matcha soft serve, and both were perfectly balanced and refreshing. It’s rare to find a place that not only takes pride in the ingredients they use but also serves each drink with precision and care.

I also appreciated how quiet and comfortable the space was for studying. There were several people working on laptops, reading, or just enjoying the peaceful vibe, and I can definitely see myself spending a whole afternoon here if I lived nearby.

Whether you’re a matcha enthusiast or just someone looking for a peaceful café with top-tier service, Matcha Cafe Maiko is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next trip back, and I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family.

I recommend getting the Matcha Latte Float, Strawberry Matcha Latte and Ube Ice Cream Pint!

From Matcha Maiko to matcha so so. Can’t believe they’re skimping on their main ingredient in their soft serves. The color went from a deep forest green to light pastel. The taste is noticeable different too. Very disappointing.

The food and drinks were fantastic, though a bit pricey. However, their matcha ice cream machine wasn’t working after I ordered it, and no one informed me until I went to the counter to ask about my order. I was sitting there waiting for nothing.
