Always looking forward to eating here when in the area. Yummy dessert place and decided to try the Sakura (Cherry Blossom) ice cream soft serve. Flavor was amazing and not very sweet which was wonderful with a very smooth and un heavy texture. Will get this flavor again if it is still available!

Instense and refreshing Matcha soft serve on a crunchy and flavorful waffle cone. Gotta have 1 every time I visit Tyson Corner Mall. Other items like Matcha shaved ice and Hojicha latte are also good.

I ordered the mix vanilla/matcha soft serve because I thought the green tea ice cream might be too overwhelming. It was a decent soft serve, a little too soft but it held up. Waffle cone was tasty.

This place is located inside the Tysons Corner shopping mall, right next to Victoria’s Secret. Although the line was not particularly long and there were many staff, it usually took quite a while to get my food. The match ice cream was not bad, and the Maiko special came with some additional toppings (e.g., rice ball, jelly, corn flakes). Overall, both the food and the service were okay. amazing little kiosk! they have such a nice selection and i really want to go back! I got the uji-kintoki and everything about it was good. The portion was a lot bigger than I expected. I could tell that the quality of the matcha was high, and they gave you a lot of matcha flavor in the shaved ice; it wasn’t watery at all. honestly it was a little bit sweeter than my liking (mind i’m someone who drinks straight matcha powder+water) but i believe you can order it with less sweetness. also, the server was very sanitary and polite. i highly recommend trying cafe maiko out! it’s hard to find places like these.
