Went for our Anniversary and wasn’t disappointed. Service by Madison was great! Ordered Scallops and a pasta dish that were good. Next time we’ll try the steak. The only issue was that it was very loud in there. Not the romantic table I was hoping for on our first visit.

First time at Mastello. We will certainly be back. Great service by Katherine, beautiful atmosphere in the side room. Chateau Briand for 2, creamed spinach and the Arugula salad with Merlot infused pears were all amazing. Manger Alexia stopped by to check on us, made us feel like we were appreciated and then a final Italian creme made by the chef!

We had dinner at Mastello prior to attending an evening concert. It’s just off Cypress Lake Dr between Summerlin Rd and Tamiami Trail.
The Italian bread they brought to the table after we were seated was hot out of the oven. It came with whipped butter and olive oil with parmesan cheese and spices and was very good. We started our dinner with fried calamari; it was served with marinara sauce and a spicy mayonnaise. It was very good (non-greasy) and the portion was ample. We also had a bowl of their baked French onion soup. The soup base was excellent. A nice touch was that they use slices of their Italian bread rather than croutons.
For our entrees, my wife had the Chilean sea bass basil pesto; it came with market vegetables. I had the braised short rib ravioli with portobello truffle and sage butter; it was four large ravioli stuffed with the short rib meat in a sage butter sauce topped with the portobello truffle. Both of our meals were outstanding and, again, the portions were ample. We finished our dinner with a cannoli which was to die for!
The wait staff were prompt and courteous and the prices were in line with what you would expect for a high-end restaurant. If you’re in Fort Myers and looking for a topflight dining experience, you’ll want to try Mastello Ristorante & Steakhouse.

The best way to describe Mastello’s food, service and atmosphere is this: my friend brought me here for my birthday dinner because I constantly talked about how great it is. My family brought me here the following night for my birthday dinner. My daughter chose this place for her birthday dinner where we have 6:30 reservations tonight. She is also going here Wednesday night for HER second birthday dinner. All of these events in the month of February. Yes, it’s THAT good.

Quality. Ordered the gnocchi alla vodka for my son. He’s the toughest critic. He devoured this dish. The gnocchi was fresh and very soft. The vodka sauce was delicious and had excellent flavor. Even the Togo utensils were better than some other restaurants table cutlery. The host was extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with. We’ll definitely be back. I had the fish special Corvino for$55. The veggies were absolutely fabulous so flavorful, as was the risotto, could not say same for fish. Super dry and bland even with sauce on side. (Could have cooked better myself). Waitress was very good, thank you Emily
