Family and I went here on a Saturday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Red flag lol. BUT..our service was good and the waitress helped explain the menu.

I got the chicken parm, my son got the margarita pizza, and my wife got the Sorrento-style gnocchi. The food was really good. I could argue the pizza had too much flop and maybe could have been baked for about 3-4 more minutes but the food was good. The old fashioned …not so good..wouldn’t recommend that that..BUT the food was on point.

Came here with some friends for dinner on a Friday night. The staff was super friendly and attentive, which I’m noting here given what others have said. The reason for my 3 stars is that the food was just fine. Sadly, Boston has way, way better Italian restaurants all over the city. If this was located in a city or town with fewer options, I would’ve like rated it higher.

I stopped in as a solo diner on a Saturday evening around 6:30pm. I had to wait a few minutes to be seen by he host, and he told me I could walk around and check the bar for a spot. Fortunately, there was a spot open, and I was able to snag it. The bartender was quite busy, and told me he’d be with me in a bit. After maybe 7-10 min he was able to take my order, which arrived quickly. The gnocchi itself was fine, but I didn’t feel like it was anything special. I would eat here again, but probably try a different dish. It was busy, and most people had reservations.

We visited this past Friday with another couple. We arrived late for our reservation, but the gentleman at the front was incredibly accommodating and made sure we were still taken care of, which we really appreciated.

We ordered a Neapolitan-style pizza, which was very tasty—one of the better ones we’ve had since being in Italy—though it could have used a bit more time in the oven. Still, overall very good. We also ordered the carbonara, bucatini all’Amatriciana, and the polpetti. All of the dishes had great flavor, but unfortunately they arrived at the table cold, which took away from the experience.

As far as the food and atmosphere go, this place has a lot of potential. The main reason for the 3-star rating was the service. It was extremely slow, and our server was inattentive—rarely checking in, not asking if we needed additional drinks, and not following up on how our meals were. Aside from the gentleman who greeted us at the door, no one we interacted with was particularly friendly or personable.

With so many excellent options in Boston, I’m not sure this is a place I’d be eager to return to. Sometimes great food isn’t enough—poor service can be a dealbreaker.

We were 6 with one birthday girl. The service was really welcoming and nice and we could brought our own cake.
We ordered the Eggplant parm and pizza , another funghi pizza. Also for the table we had a lasaña and rice balls that had the saffron taste which were great.

Would be a better experience probably with a better Italian music.
I’ll be back for that pizza fresh bread though. 🙂

Also try the cocktails and wine collection. Reasonable price and great quality.

Came here on a Saturday night before doing the Boston Marathon and it wasn’t too busy so we snagged reservations right before coming.

Good:
– The casarecce was so good! I liked the meatballs and the pasta shells themselves were very chewy and tasty
– The tiramisu was really good – not too sweet either
– The risotto and lamb lollipops was surprisingly good! I did not like the taste of the lamb, but the risotto was some of the best I’ve ever had!
– Super nice server!

Bad:
– The food is a bit on the more pricey end, but not too bad!
– Very dim inside and it’s a bit gloomy

Overall this was a great pre-race fuel and glad we came!

Lovely italian restaurant in a central location! We went in after a late night walk on the esplanade since it was one of the few places still open that night.

Really quick service and yummy food! The gnocchi was some of the best I have ever had – it was tender without being mushy and the sauce was nice and flavorful!

Went for the first time early Saturday evening: three adults two children. We ordered two pizzas, a lasagna and a pasta carbonara. The pizzas were good. The lasagna was a little soupy but tasty. The pasta carbonara was delicious, but the portion size was minuscule. I wouldn’t even consider it as an appetizer nevermind an entrée. The service was very good – no complaints there. The atmosphere was ok for a casual meal, but a little noisy. We ordered two desserts, which were OK nothing special. I doubt that we will return. There are too many good restaurants in the Boston area and I would not rate this as one of the better ones

Absolutely loved our experience with MAST! We have been many times but recently had them cater a party, and the food was a huge hit. The pizzas were fantastic – Neapolitan pizza is the way to go. The arancini was amazing, they disappeared quickly! And the meatballs were a big hit. Even the drinks were top-notch. Our guests raved about everything. Marco and the team at MAST were a pleasure to work with, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend!
