I love coming here! They have great food at great prices. The space is very warm and inviting with amazing water and sunset views!

I moved to Gig Harbor just under four years ago and this was my first time dining at Massimo. Why it took me so long I have no idea.
I got their a little earlier than my friend so I sat at the bar while I waited for him to arrive. I was greeted by the bartender Briana? I hope I remembered her name correctly. She was friendly and welcoming and made a great cocktail.
Our server was Jay and she was an absolute joy, well done!
The meals were delicious and the view was, of course beautiful!
Huge disappointment… as I went to pull out my chair the guest at the table next to us had brought their dog in to dine with them. Not leaving much room for me to sit so we had to move our table so I had enough room.
This definitely did not appear to be a service animal of any kind and it irritated
me to no end!
I’ll never understand stand why some restaurants cater to people who can’t go anywhere without their dogs!
It’s really too bad, Massimo would/should have recieved a much better rating.

Had the chicken parm which was very good. Pasta seemed fresh and sauce was excellent. Chicken was good but texture was a bit chewier than I prefer. The views was amazing and the staff was fantastic. Very friendly and our waitress amazed us on how easily she could recite the extended specials.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere indoors and watching the craziness across the water under the bridge. Nice dinner and a show. I had the Italian sea bass special and they were able to accommodate dairy free with olive oil on the wine sauce with tomatoes, and i added a side of gluten free pasta which was a just enough portion with the huge fish, vegetables, and my salad. They checked the desserts which weren’t made in a GF facility, so the chefs were nice enough thanks to my waitress asking and made me sugared berries for dessert special! I really enjoyed my meal. Thank you. I couldn’t eat for days, and this meal hit the spot and really nourished me. Cannot wait to come back ✨️

What a wonderful Italian restaurant! The food selections range from pizza to upscale entrees. There is an extensive wine list and full bar. The atmosphere is cozy-rustic, and includes a fireplace and beautiful water views through the expansive windows. They even added a candle to my tiramasu in celebration of my birthday! Service was outstanding and food was superb! Highly recommend!

Nice view, good food, great service. Unless you want to dine after 7, make a reservation.

We went here Saturday night, and it was a bit busy, but we were able to sit by the bar. The food was good. My only complaint was about the tiramisu. It was dry and lacked flavor. I was kinda bummed because I was expecting it to be good.

12/24/25:
Been coming here with great results since they opened. Their Chicken Marsala might be best in the state. Penne Massimo has also been consistently excellent.
Tonight my wife’s special Scallops were also excellent.
However, my special New York Steak was a big disappointment. After cutting away the gristle, fat, and bone, had about 3/4″ x 3″ of edible meat. The steak was cooked as ordered, but was a bit tough & did not really taste like a quality New York.
Also, service started well, but our 2nd cocktails arrived well after our plates were cleared away. Frustrating. (Maybe the holiday?)
We’ll be back due to past experiences, but will *not* be ordering any steak dishes again.

This is my favorite restaurant in Gig Harbor. While other restaurants have increased their prices significantly, this restaurant has not. It is still incredibly affordable. I’m still amazed at the value I get here, a clean restaurant, most amazing views, awesome hot bread, still affordable compared to all the restaurants I’ve been to recently. The owner says hi to customers. I probably eat here once a month. First the view and atmosphere is calming and relaxing and the views are gorgeous! Next is the food. I definitely have my favorites. Linguine Sorrento, basically anything seafood. I love their homemade bread and the garlic infused olive oil. I also love their desserts and my favorite is their Panacotta! The negative reviews surprise me. Either it was an anomaly or such a picky person that you can never please. No restaurant is perfect. I’ve been coming here since they have opened. I hardly eat out anymore due to how expensive it is to eat out, but I can still get a good meal with the most beautiful view at a great price!

Sorely disappointed! We expected so much more after hearing good things about Massimo. I ordered prosecco and was brought cheap french blanc de blanc. When I asked the server why I was not given prosecco, she stated that “this is what the distributor brought us.” She took it away and brought my second glass of white wine, was served warm. We were not given bread, which was on every other table in the restaurant. I originally asked for lasagna, but the server told us it frequently “comes out cold in the middle.” Instead, I settled for ravioli, which was barely cooked and basic at best.
If you are expecting an upscale dining experience with fresh, made to order food…GO ELSEWHERE.
