I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Mashumen. While the food was good and satisfied the craving, the service is what would bring me back. The staff is genuinely kind and makes you feel right at home. It’s great to have a spot in C-ville where the team is so consistently friendly.

I think I just had my most delicious meal ever at this place. The virgin mango margarita and mango smoothie were incredible. The tonkatsu Ramen was incredibly delicious and a visual masterpiece. Our server was really professional and friendly. The deliciousness per dollar is hard to match anywhere else. Thankful for Matthew’s mom!

We stopped in late evening, on our way to the Amherst area.
Both my husband and I thought ramen would hit the spot. I’m a vegetarian and the language barrier was definitely a slight issue, since I didn’t know how to express my likes and dislikes. It wound up being a bit of an issue for my husband too, since spicy foods aggravate his respiratory system. It was a circus show.
Luckily we ordered fried tofu and that was absolutely amazingly delicious! They gave me some wasabi and I was in heaven. (I like heat…)
The ramen broth was not very flavorful, but the noodles and veggies were nicely cooked.
Servers were kind, even with the huge birthday party in the side room.
Parking was a little sketchy. No lighting along the side of the building.
Restaurant was clean, as were the loos.
I think I’d try them again, if only for the tofu.

Mashumen was ok. I had a craving for ramen and this was the closest place for a quick lunch run. I ordered to go and the service was fast. For me the broth was bland or watered down. The menu selection was vast and next time I would like to sit in instead of carryout.

This place is often very full with customers and the ambience/appearance is pretty nice and somewhat modern. Unfortunately my ramen was very mediocre. I’ve never had a drier/overcooked pork belly, and they give large portions of meat so that may be good or bad depending on your preference. The noodles were pretty similar to store brand quality-wise and the broth had zero flavor other than chicken (i ordered the shoyu which is pretty hard to miss on). Service was courteous and quick

My friend enjoyed her food except for her appetizer. She said it had such an overwhelming seafood flavor, but everything else was good

First time going here and I was blown away. Sushi was amazing, ramen was amazing. And the portions you get? Large. I was shocked at how big the sushi and ramen was. Food was amazing price is a little up there but we’ll worth it. Will be marking this as a favorite place and will be going back.
