I had a great experience. I ordered the chicken skewers and hummus, and both were amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The hummus was fresh and delicious, making it the perfect side. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and welcoming, and the dining area was clean and spacious, with plenty of room for guests to sit comfortably. I would definitely recommend stopping by, and I’ll be back to try more items on the menu.

My friend and I stopped by to try the kebab, and we were immediately impressed by the beautiful atmosphere. The service was also good throughout our meal. However, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations, especially considering the price. We spent over $80 for two people, which felt very expensive for what we received. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel like a great value for the price point.

Such a nice addition to dining options in Westerville. Our first time and we had 16 in our party. They quickly moved tables for us. A side note…the menu pictures food not on their menu which was a bit confusing for our members who don’t know Mediterranean cuisine. All in all though, everyone enjoyed what they got especially the meats. And by the way, the just plain coffee was delicious.

Mashawee Stop Restaurant was a great choice. My colleagues and I shared a platter with chicken, kofta, lamb, filet mignon skewers, and rice. Everything was amazing, the chicken and meats were very juicy and well cooked. Yusuf was a great help. Highly recommend!

My kids said the sandwiches are delicious! I asked for two without pickles but they all had pickles, not a big deal, easy to remove. Cashier was kind enough to clear some space in storage so I could have a private place to pray. FYI they don’t have any rice on their menu now.

We dined in on a Sunday afternoon and were able to be seated right away.

We picked our own table and our server took our orders. We got 2 kebabs (lamb liver and kofta). This came with hummus, pita bread, and pickles. The kofta was delicious and had a nice smokiness. It was slightly salty on its own, but great with hummus and bread. Ordered the lamb liver because it’s not a common offering at other restaurants. It tastes like liver and would only recommend to those that like that taste. Drink sold separately (no cup of water like typically restaurants, but we didn’t specifically ask).

We also ordered a lamb shawarma “sandwich”. This is a stuff pita pocket and came with a large portion of fries. Overall good. Fries were decent. The combo also came with a drink.

There were a lot of tables that seat up to 4 and 6. Service was friendly.

1st time trying them. I visited Mashawee Stop on December 19th. I really wanted to like this place because the food actually tasted amazing, but the aftermath was a nightmare. Both my partner and I got violent food poisoning immediately after eating here. I have traveled the world and never gotten sick like this before. There is clearly a contamination issue that needs to be addressed.
On top of the health concerns, the management seems disorganized. They were out of half the items on the menu. Also, be very careful and check your bill. The prices on the menu, the display, and the register do not match. I cannot recommend this place until they fix their hygiene, outdated menu & pricing issues.

The food was undeniably delicious. Every dish we tried had bold, authentic flavors, and the chicken wings and Arayes pita/wraps stood out as favorites. The ambiance was warm and lively, with a cozy aesthetic and the familiar sounds of conversation that made the place feel inviting. As someone who speaks Arabic, it was also comforting to connect with some of the staff in my native language.

However, our overall experience was soured by how the ordering process unfolded. We were a group of four with two kids and had planned to order individual plates, but the waiter strongly encouraged us to opt for shared platters featuring a variety of meats. Unfortunately, the price of these platters wasn’t listed on the menu, and I made the mistake of not asking upfront. When the bill came, we were shocked to see the total, at $165, for a meal that left us with far more food than we could eat. It felt like we were upsold without full transparency, which left a bad taste despite the good food. The service also felt chaotic, likely due to being understaffed, and the staff, though kind, seemed overwhelmed throughout our visit.

While the flavors and certain aspects of the atmosphere were top-notch, the lack of pricing clarity and service disorganization make it unlikely that we’ll return.

I found this place by chance one day looking for something to eat and I think I found my new favorite restaurant!
I went around 3pm so the restaurant was empty but my order was still taken quickly!
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was obviously cooked fresh!
I got the half dozen falafel, arayes pita and the lamb shawarma sandwich. I am not exaggerating when I say that this place has the best falafel I’ve ever had. It was hot, crisp, fluffy and super duper flavorful. They were so good I wished I had gotten the full dozen. And even cold the next day they were amazing. The sandwich was good, smoky and meaty with a yummy sauce that reminded me of tzatziki. The arayas pita weren’t what I was expecting but they were still amazing. The meat inside had a surprisingly delicate flavor that paired well with the refreshing hummus like dip it came with. I ate most of it cold the next day and it was still great. I’m very satisfied with my visit and will definitely be coming back.
