By far the best Indian cuisine in Jacksonville, this restaurant delivers consistent excellence every time. I’ve visited for both lunch and dinner on multiple occasions, and the experience is always fantastic. The dining area is spotless, the décor is thoughtfully done, and the digital iPad menu makes browsing and ordering exceptionally easy.
For first-time diners, lunch is a great place to start. The lunch specials offer a generous selection of curries along with a well-balanced sampling of classic Indian dishes. I highly recommend beginning with the paneer appetizer—bold, spicy, and absolutely delicious. In fact, I’ve never had a single meal here that was anything less than outstanding.
With multiple spice levels available for every dish, there’s truly something for everyone—just be warned that “hot” really means hot. The staff is consistently attentive, the atmosphere inviting, and the food remarkable across the board. Give this place a try; you won’t regret it.

The food was fantastic! As a vegan, I had plenty of options to choose from, which made the experience even better. I enjoyed the brown sauce with the Onion Bhaji, and they also offered vegan bread and dishes. I appreciate that they have options for all kinds of diets. The staff and atmosphere were also excellent.

I recently stopped in for lunch and was blown away by both the value and the flavor. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced, especially considering the generous portions and variety offered. To my surprise, it even came with a complimentary samosa pita, which was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch.
The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, making sure everything was just right. Every dish I tried was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. This place is the perfect balance of quality, hospitality, and affordability—I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Terrific and very authentic Indian food. Service was quick and kind. The interior of the restaurant is clean and creative. I got the Lamb Pepper fry and it was amazingly good. I don’t live in Jax, but if I did I would come here for that dish alone – but everything else smelled and tasted amazing!

My family and I wanted to try some place we haven’t been in Jacksonville and this place did not disappoint. The environment was very modern eloquent. The digital menus where very user friendly and easy to navigate. After placing our order the food came out in a timely manner. And, to say it was delicious was an understatement. I look forward to our next dining experience and will invite other to join us for a great meal. The portions we great, and we did not save room for dessert this time, however next time I am definitely trying the cheesecake.

My family recently moved to Jacksonville from out of state and we were looking for a really great Indian spot. Luckily we scored on our first try. Masala is awesome! Their buffet is one of the best I’ve seen- you really can forgo looking at the menu because the buffet has almost everything you need- yes, NEED, because this is good Indian food we’re talking about. The chai at the end is a little star on top of the tree, it was honestly so rich and flavorful with a good balance of spices. Yum.
My (Indian-born) husband chose buffet, but I chose to order on the menu. The house specialty coconut curry (I decided on fish for my protein) was…mmm…so flavorful. I chose medium spice but next time I’ll probably get spicy if it’s just for myself.
Our 9-month-old son, however, absolutely LOVED the coconut fish curry at the medium spice. Lastly, I’ll say that Shrabani was so nice and patient with us, it’s a whole lot of drama bringing a little kid somewhere to eat, and I really appreciate the gracious service!
One more thing- the wine and beer are a REALLY great value. All in all, go here or suffer ♀️

We just tried the Mother’s Day buffet at Masala Mantra in Jacksonville and it was absolutely delicious! Great variety, fresh flavors, and beautifully presented dishes. Their à la carte menu is also consistently excellent. Lovely ambiance and great service—highly recommended!
