We ordered the Butter Chicken, and it was fabulous. The chicken pieces were tender. The sauce was very tasty. Nice depth of flavor. The rice was nicely cooked. The garlic naan had a nice texture, but I do wish the garlic butter flavor was a bit stronger. The inside of the restaurant is cute, with a few decorative items. I believe they haven’t had their official Grand Opening yet, so hopefully they will add a few more things to warm it up a bit more. There’s quite an array of options for seating including standard height table and chairs, high tops, outdoor table and chairs, and I believe a couple of booths. I couldn’t tell if there was AC inside. Though they can’t guarantee no cross-contamination, I have a severe allergy to legumes, and had no problem eating the food. I’m very happy about this addition to Elk Rapids, and love that I have a new dining option when I come visit! Can’t wait to try the other dishes.

My friends and I ordered a butter chicken naan pizza, paneer pizza, chicken roll, channa masala, and cauliflower fritters along with some chai. Pizzas were fantastic. The channa masala and chicken roll were okay. The tamarind sauce served with the fritters was delicious! Overall, the food felt “toned down” which is appropriate for the average American palette but didn’t skip on flavor. Service was friendly and the food came out quicker than expected. Great place to stop by for a quick bite if you’re craving Indian food. Will visit again next time I’m in town!

Amazing food! Such a special treat to have this great food in Elk Rapids. Cute space for dine-in or easy takeout. In addition to authentic Indian Food, they also have ice cream (soft serve and scoop). They have something for everyone.

First off, this is easily the best Indian food north of Grand Rapids. Secondly Anita is absolutely lovely and was extremely kind and attentive when we were picking up our order. We will absolutely be back!

We love Anita’s food truck and are excited she has opened a restaurant in Elk Rapids! We just had the chicken wrap and the paneer wrap for lunch and they were both delicious. We highly recommend the samosas appetizer as well. The service was very friendly, the restaurant was clean and inviting, and you can’t go wrong with Anita’s wonderful cooking. We can’t wait to try all of her tasty dishes! They also have Northwoods soda and ice cream, as an extra added bonus.

Coming from Chicago and having eaten Indian food in many cities across the U.S. Masala Magic is at the top!
Our family has a vegan, vegetarian and two carnivores and we all can eat together and have a perfect meal at Masala Magic (AND the veggies are not an afterthought which is often the case here in Northern MI).

We just picked up some chana masala and garlic naan from the new location, dreamy and delicious and full of flavor. Our family has tried at least five dishes from Anita’s food truck, plus the chai, gulab jamun, and mango lassi, everything has been so tasty. We’re thrilled that Masala Magic now has a brick-and-mortar spot so close to home! Now we can try everything else.
