This place blew my expectations out of the waters! Usually, I would not expect a local sushi restaurant hole in the wall kind of a deal have this good sushi!
Having been to amazing sushi places all over the world, this was actually really good for a little town place! It’s standard sushi prices and you get about the same amount of food and rolls as you would another other place, the quality and taste is great! I would probably avoid the crab, since it tastes a little too much like seawater, not my favorite, but still it is not takening anything away from the experience!
I would definitely go back for seconds!

Wow I was really impressed with the sushi here!! For this area, it was actually really good. The sushi tasted fresh and the flavors were great . Portions were nice too. The menu is huge and even has udon and other non sushi options. We also got the seaweed salad which I forgot to take a photo of but that portion is huge. Would definitely be enough as an app for four people. Really yummy as well. The cucumber really accents the seaweed!
Cute little spot. There’s actually a decent amount of seating and you can see some of the chefs working as well.

Extreme Entertainment
This place has very small portions, very high prices, costs as much as a real Japanese steakhouse only this has no tepenyaki. Staff was not friendly at all and the food was average at best and made me feel terrible. Sushi prices are also pretty high other than a cucumber or California roll. Skip it. The child sized portion I got would not fill a 10 year old. For $25.00 a person should get some actual portions of food. Looked like a kids meal. 9 small pieces of steak and 4 shrimp. Very disappointed. There’s a great pizza place next door, Nicky’s. Go there instead for 1/3 of the cost. Something certainly happened because it doesn’t look anything like the pictures on here. So something has definitely changed….

I was just here for a birthday party of nine adults. My fiancé turned 40. His family has been going here for years, and his parents are pretty familiar with the owners. They were out of town, but made arrangements ahead of time for us to eat there, and gave them their credit card in advance (obviously, it was very nice of his parents).
The sushi was really good, and I think everyone really enjoyed their meal. However, I had brought a birthday cake so we could sing happy birthday, and I asked if I could get some plates and a knife to cut the cake. They told me no, because they didn’t have a knife. It was an insanely bad lie. Eventually, I guess they changed their minds and brought one.
Then, a bit later, they came and told us we needed to leave because they closed at nine pm. It was 8:52 pm. I get it would be rude for us to stay a long time after they closed, but they kicked us out before they closed. Also, we asked them in advance what time they would like us to get there, so we would have plenty of time.
I’ve been here several times and their food is good, but I was really disgusted with their service that night.

The service was quick and friendly! I get gyoza pretty much everywhere I go and this one was top 5! I wasn’t a big fan of the spicy crab roll, tasted a little too fishy if you know what I mean. But the sun roll was top notch, would order again for sure. Masabj will see me again!

I absolutely love this place in Liberty! The service is always amazing, the food never disappoints, and the owners give it a homey kind of feel! I love to get the angry dragon roll. If you look at the picture, it actually looks like a dragon! I definitely recommend this place of you are looking for great sushi and even hibachi!

I came here for sushi and this place delivered. There were tons of options to choose from, but I ended up ordering a Philadelphia Roll and a Tuna Avocado Roll. The sushi was fresh and great quality, I wish I had ordered more! Everyone else in my family had something from the hibachi grill and they all loved their meals as well. The interior was quiet and clean and the staff were attentive. I’m definitely going to visit here again!
