Visiting our son he took us to Ma’s Place for both a dinner and breakfast. We both enjoy local, small businesses and this place hits the mark on all measures. Food was excellent – tasty, well prepared , and fresh and hot. The service was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend!

Ok, so my mother loves this place and to give a fair review, I have been a total of 3 times. The last two times the service was ok, small business, and the food was good. But this last time was terrible. Here is why. This was Sunday lunch crowd. Only One waitress working. A little 12 year old girl was making an attempt to help her and she did ok. But it took three fill ups of coffee before we got our meals so like a good 40 minutes. We ordered toast with the breakfast and it did not come. We saw the toast in the toaster, but it went other places like three times, so we waived down and asked the 12 year old, to please bring us the toast. My mother told the waitress, who did come by and apologized, that we were not in any hurry… we were trying to be nice. I finished my entire meal before the toast finally came but I did not eat it. Here is why. Bless her soul, the waitress had a REAL NASTY COUGH. I mean she was Hacking all over the place the entire time. I am against masks, but I kind of wish that if she really had to work, that she at least would have masked up handling food meant for customers. And my mother agreed that she should not be working and handing out food like that in that condition. One day later….. I now have a severe cough…. Ugh. I will NOT be returning to this establishment. I support local businesses as much as I can and it can be seen in my previous reviews, but this was over the top not good. I felt compelled to write a review on this particularly bad situation. I hope this criticism is takin as constructive and adjustments are made.

We were looking for a fried pork tenderloin sandwich, and we found one! The tenderloin was twice as big as the bun and tasted great. The staff were friendly and knew most of their customers. The atmosphere is old and rustic but that’s how I like it. We will go back again!

I LOVE COMING HERE! The bacon is ALWAYS cooked to perfection and my waffles never disappoint. This is one of my favorite places to go to for breakfast when I’m off. The people who work here are absolute gems . I will return!

Local restaurant offers plenty of food and friendly service, a local mainstay that has been there for years. I had a BLT with crispy bacon which was thick cut and not thin, my daughter had the regular breakfast with a side of French toast, way too much food…definitely have an appetite when you go!

The environment when waking in was giving welcoming and warm vibes. Family oriented.
Food- we ordered the biscuits and gravy and the catfish.
Biscuits and gravy— waitress asked the type of gravy and mentioned about 3 options. I ordered the sausage gravy. There were not any sausage pieces and it was creamy. Although the gravy was amazing, it was more of a country gravy versus a sausage gravy. Biscuits were great!!
Catfish— the catfish was seasoned very well. Definitely a great option!

I have been coming here for several years thought this was a good family restaurant but today changed my whole opinion, I will never come back, my husband is a diabetic we walked in at 245 not realizing they cl9s3d at 3 but h8s sugar was 62 and the rude new waitress said we closed at 3 my husband said so we cant eat she replied “not unless you want it to go” so yeah my husband is about to pass out and we had to leave. I have worked as a waitress and a buisness owner and this was very unprofessional and flat out rude I no longer reccomend this place, I do not usually walk into a restaurant right before they close but my husband was super shacky and his sugar was very low so he needed to eat, im so disgusted at this point!!!
