I don’t even live close, but if I’m driving by in the way to work, usually a few times per month, I’m stopping! They have the BEST tacos, elote, and juices you can find in the area. Sooooo good. Plenty of parking, lots of outdoor seating too. This time of year is perfect with the cooler air. Definitely recommend!

Mas Chingon is my new go-to for Mexican food in Salado. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. I was thrilled to discover they’re opening a restaurant on Royal St. across from Barrow Brewing, which makes it an even easier stop for me and my family. The flavors are outstanding, the ingredients taste fresh, and the menu offers something for everyone. I’m excited to have such a high-quality Mexican spot so close by and will absolutely be back on a regular basis.

We have been in Salado now going on 2 yrs and since Mas Chingon has joined the community, I have never had a bad experience with the food or service. This team has always been a pleasure to order from and the food is top notch. Now that they have introduced menudo to their menu, it’s just one more regular item that will become a staple to their barbacoa! You folks gotta check em out if you’re looking for some quality Mexican food!

This place just doesn’t miss! As Salado locals, we come here all the time. Sometimes, we even get breakfast after the gym (don’t judge). Authentic Mexican, not TexMex style. Everything here is amazing. Family owned spot, siblings and nephews and the whole gang. And their sauce?! Oh man Do yourself a favor and just go. My husbands go to is the #3 with steak tacos and pastor quesadilla, mine is the order of 4 steak tacos. Go now!
