Mary’s is a cozy little diner that caters to the local community. Travellers are welcome and Elvis impersonators are encouraged. The place claims home cooked meals served with a smile and sadly, the smile was lacking, but the food was good anyway. There were plenty of smiling locals aside from the waitress.

As I entered the restaurant, I was amazed to see the amount of Elvis collections there was, Ive never seen anything like it. Customers were friendly and helpful. Chatted a bit with a senior who said is there every day 🙂 I was greeted by, I believe, the owner. Very friendly vibes and the place just felt comfortable.

When we are in the area we always stop to eat at Mary’s Kitchen. The service is good, the food is served fast and hot. More importantly, the price of every meal is a real value. She has daily specials that are really inexpensive. Her steak & eggs are only $6.95, this includes coffee…. WOW!

We have seen many Seattle and Portland precious ones get in a snit. The prices will blow your mind. Good food from great people. Our favourite spot in the area.

I couldn’t ever give this place 5 stars or even 4 but the place has something going for it. Not sure if its the carpeted floor or the Elvis memorabilia everywhere. Either way the staff is generally pretty good the food is old school diner quality and I never want it to change. I would avoid the biscuits as you get what you pay for but the greasy eggs, hash browns and other breakfast items are just what you would expect.

Enjoy our meals at Mary’s. I meet with friends every Saturday morning and the place is 1/2 full at 6am. The food is pretty good and the coffee is very good. The price of the food is really reasonable. I have been going there for many years.

I love Mary’s Kitchen. It’s nothing fancy, more small and cozy. The food is not gourmet, but rather simple. Prices are generously low when compared to other options. If you are looking for something fancy, you need to go spend 2x or 3x the price somewhere else. If you just want basic breakfast, this is the place. Oh, she also has an old school soda fountain that is different than the newer high tech fast food ones. You’ll notice it has a better quality and consistency not provided by other restaurants machines.

Mary’s is a small restaurant ran by one woman, the same woman for 29 years; Mary. She has exactly two wait staff, the same two wait staff, with Carol whom serves you everyday. This is not your typical restaurant, Mary started it to serve the local farmer who start their day before the sun comes up, providing them with a home cooked meal. Now today its an dive spot where mostly locals and their families frequent. Mary has an amazing collection of anything Elvis and ceramic bears. Its a cozy house setting where you are getting served a cheap meal from your grandma. It does take a while to get your food, but this is seen as a time for fellowship from your fellow patrons. Every time I go, I see some of the same faces, mostly elderly patrons who eat there every morning, and young families that want a good meal for a good price. I keep reading reviews about them being racist. Well you can’t control who your customers are. My husband is black and I am white, we go very often, and have Never been treated differently, I have seen may other races and cultures, and again, haven’t seen the prejudice.

I wanted to like this place. Even when everything on the walls are covered in dust, but I don’t. People were coming in and have been for years and years. Ordered chicken fried steak and my dates omlet. The chicken friend steak wasn’t fully cooked and the gravy was awful. I think they used water rather than milk for the gravy. Lacked flavor. On the plus, eggs were good. Never will go back.
