Beautiful place with a classic American diner vibe, but even better than the décor was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive, and our waitress Sarah was absolutely lovely — she gave us great recommendations and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious from start to finish. A top spot, highly, highly recommended!

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. Went on a Saturday morning on our way to Robot Zero Comics. Quite a few people there for the morning. Seated immediately and service was pretty quick.

I got Mary’s Big Egg Bowl and the wife got pancakes and biscuits and gravy. My egg was cooked perfectly and the bowl was delicious. My wife’s pancakes were ok, but they don’t carry regular butter and the imitation butter wasn’t good. The biscuits were good and you can tell the gravy is made with love!

We found Mary’s just doing a quick search for a place for breakfast and immediately decided to go after seeing the pictures. It’s such a nostalgic diner vibe. The best part? The amazing diner food. The pierogies with sausage gravy were phenomenal. The pancakes were enormous and easily the size of a medium pizza. All of the portions were huge, the coffee was delicious, and everyone was so attentive and friendly.

I ordered a breakfast for lunch and it was absolutely delicious! I can’t remember the exact name of it but it was something like Mary’s breakfast bowl. It was an open face omelette with sausage gravy, ham, cheese, peppers and hash browns. It also came with my choice of toast.
The server was absolutely fantastic! If you’re there ask for Sarah she is amazing.
Like everywhere the prices have gone up. I was stunned that coffee was $3.50. But, we don’t eat out a lot so it’s more of a treat to us.

Drove out here from Warren, OH on the hunt for a good 50s style hamburger. It had the look and style and we were excited to eat here. There were a good amount of people inside, but not jam-packed. Unfortunately, it was a huge let down.

Cheeseburger & tots = this was not a classic 50s style burger I have been searching for. It was just a regular cheeseburger. There was nothing special about it. Good? Yea. Would I come here again for it? No. The tots were cooked perfect. Crisp and and delicious, but bland.

Chef salad = not as large as expected, especially for the price. Nothing outstanding about it either. Just a rather normal salad.

Corn dog & mac-n-cheese (children) = the corn dog looked delicious. Nice golden color on the outside. I did not try it, but my child devoured it. The macaroni and cheese was disgusting, I thought so, my partner thought so, and our kid didn’t eat it past one bite so he agreed.

Fried mushrooms (appetizer) = Pretty good. Again, nothing I was blown away by and wouldn’t recommend anyone coming to this place for, but we enjoyed them.

Pumpkin Cappuccino = My partner ordered a pumpkin cappuccino when we were first seated and the waitress (who wasn’t overly friendly at all) completely forgot about it. He had to ask about it after the food was brought to us and she didn’t even know what he had ordered. This was, by far, the BEST thing we had while there.

Overall, I would not recommend this place. It wasn’t worth the drive and definitely wasn’t worth $60. I’d never eat here again.

My family enjoyed burger night, Mary’s Diner style. I got the What’s Shakin Bacon Burger, my boyfriend got the Mushroom Swiss burger, and my son got the kids cheeseburger meal. Everything from the soft, perfectly grilled buns to the house made petal sauce on the side was so tasty and delicious. The fries were still crispy and hot in the takeout boxes when I got home, and they provided plenty of condiments to enjoy at home. So thankful.

The decorations are good. But there is no real atmosphere. That aside… where to begin.
The first time I was there, I brought a handicapped companion. The waitress looked mad and stared at them the entire time like they didn’t belong there. And was never friendly. That, I forgave, even forgave the dry burger.
Second time, I brought my handicapped companion. I ordered the monte cristo, what defines a Monte cristo? Jam or preserves. I was craving their cherry jam. Our food arrives. I’m told they don’t have jam but I can “put maple syrup or butter or whatever”. I returned it as that’s not my order. I didn’t order a breakfast sandwich, I asked for a Monte cristo. “Hehe I should have told you beforehand”. Ok, my companion with restrictions ordered a simple grilled cheese- I look over and they are struggling and shoving vegetables from a deluxe 3 cheese melt in their mouth. I immediately removed it, explained they can DIE. Returned it as we didn’t order that and she says,” oh usually when people order a grilled cheese they want the 3 cheese Melt.” ‍♂️ she removed it. But left their side, to become cold since they don’t eat it before the grilled cheese. I ask for a moment to order… by the time she comes back my friend is finished and we have an appointment. I explain it’s too late to eat. She does a 360 and scampers away. No apologies. They bring a single bill, I asked for separate… and it’s all messed up. I really cannot turn that receipt in to the office. SO, since I cannot legally use my companions money to tip, I did out of my pocket. Became a $9.75 soda on my end. And I left a RESTAURANT hungry. On the way out, I heard shouted across the room,” Sorry ya had a bad experience hope it’s better next time!” How impersonal. It’s also not handicapped accessible. My companion almost face planted on their wet floor while I held open a door. I will do my best to not be back.

Took grandkids here for dinner, turn out to be much more. A lesson in nostalgia and the 1950 hits that were playing. A great dinner with lots of memories from it.
