The food is unbelievably AMAZING!! It is flavored perfectly and cooked to perfection. Hours of operation are Wednesday – Saturday 11am- 8pm.

We come to visit family for the holidays, and without fail, every single visit includes a stop at Mary’s, and every time it’s an absolute joy. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, and you can feel the care that goes into everything they do. All of the food is handmade from scratch, and we’ve truly never been disappointed. For years now, they’ve consistently delivered the kind of good old-fashioned home cooking that’s hard to find anymore.
I forgot to take a picture of the pancakes, but trust me when I say they are hands-down some of the best pancakes you will ever have in your life. Fair warning, though: they are plate-sized. I ordered them, fully confident in myself, and still had to admit defeat. Another gentleman ordered a short stack, clearly a man who looked like he could demolish a plate of pancakes, and even he had to surrender. Consider yourselves warned.
An incredible place with amazing food, wonderful people, and consistently memorable meals. Absolutely worth the detour, every single time.

It’s truly from-scratch feel good country cooking and beyond delicious. In the past week we had a brisket sandwich, a Sunday fried chicken buffet, multiple breakfasts, and cinnamon rolls. Everything was, without exaggeration, delicious.
The service is also exceptional! Our waitress was friendly, clearly loved working there, and really made us feel right at home.
We’ve traveled all over the world and love to eat. Everything from Michelin star fine dining to hole in the wall joints. we’re not yanking your chain here— it’s worth a drive to experience the food and friendly service. It’s not fancy fare but it’s feel good home cooking that’ll have you leaving with a smile.

We’re visiting from Oregon and dropped by this amazing diner/cafe for breakfast.
I do not say this lightly… WOW. The service is super warm and welcoming, the eggs were spot on, bacon cooked to perfection, and the sausage gravy was delicious. Loved the fried potatoes too. We ate a ton and felt great afterwards, nothing was greasy.
Prices were super fair too.
Absolutely drop by here for their breakfasts. You won’t regret it.

We had breakfast at Mary’s while visiting Doniphan for a weekend. Atmosphere was casual. Excellent service. Food was very good. Would definitely try again if we ever get back to the area. My husband says “Caution, the pancakes are HUGE…and addictive!”

The food was mediocre. Pale, underdone fries and a poorly constructed underwhelming club sandwich. Our server seemed very distracted by something else. She never checked on us after dropping the food off despite trying to get her attention a few times. The woman who ran the register was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is quant and decorated in a fun way. Hopefully it was just a fluke and not everyone has a similar experience.

We went to Mary’s Place just one hour before close on Sunday afternoon. Only choice was the buffet, which was perfectly fine as homemade chicken & dumplings was an option. My husband tried the homemade gravy over the mashed potatoes, that I also took a bite from his plate, because I’ve been on the search of good homemade gravy with no added meat. Mary’s chicken & dumplings were as close to my grandmother’s and the gravy…yum! Just like my mother’s as well. Can’t wait to try the catfish and ribeye’s in the next few weeks! Please add frog legs to your menu!!! Bonus: breakfast served all day
Go and try Mary’s Place just be aware not open for dinner every night. Mary’s will be my choice for local “fast food” options for home cooking!
