The food was good the staff was nice. My friend would have liked the pieces of catfish a little bigger or just another piece. It was a relaxing and nostalgic experience. Since it was my friends birthday they gave him a piece of delicious chocolate cake. We will definitely come back!

I grew up in weatherford, i have heard mention of this cafe since i was a kid.
It has been a name-sake staple of weatherford my whole life, but i had never dined there myself

One lazy sunday morning, i decided on a whim, to check this place out. I was intrigued by the mention of generous portions, as well as a comfortable atmosphere.

I left full, with my expectations not only satisfied, but also exceeded.

My server Taylor was ver kind and attentive. She had a good sense of urgency, and took no time to rest in between customers. She clearly went out of her way for each table.

Thr food i ordered was steak and eggs, as well as biscuits and gravy served S.o.S.

The steak was perfectly seared, served medium rare, and evenly cooked.
The seasoning was just right, as not to overpower the eggs.

Its been a long time since i felt obliged to leave a 5 star review in my hometown.

I was thoroughly impressed, and foolish for waiting so long to visit.

Great catfish, great pickled green tomatoes. Huge menu! The homemade tartar and cocktail sauces were amazing! As country as country cooking can get. (Not the place to go if you’re looking for healthy food options. If your looking for veggies cooked with bacon and butter, great fried items, etc, then BINGO!)

Enough to bring home for later. Very friendly staff and very cute place. Will I go back again. You bet you bippy I will. If you want home cooking try this place out. Oh did I mention with lunch you also get peach cobbler. Yum. My husband had the frito pie. so much could not eat it all.

Biscuits and gravy- gravy was exactly what I make at home with packet gravy. EXACT same thing. Hashbrowns were oily and not crispy. Food took forever to come out, but server was nice and apologized as was the only server. Wont be back.

We had heard so much about this place. We must have caught them on a bad day. Sorry, was not impressed. Chicken and dumplings was small. My breakfast was a 2 (the sausage gravy was bland and had huge chunks of sausage, the hashbrowns were oily. We will give it one more try.

Mary’s Brazos Cafe is such a hidden gem! It’s one of those cute little hole-in-the-wall country cafés that reminds you why small-town spots are the best. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming—like you walked into someone’s home kitchen.

The food is simple, hearty, and exactly what you want when you’re craving real country cooking. Think fresh biscuits, perfectly seasoned meats, and sides that taste like they came straight from grandma’s stove. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the service is genuinely friendly.

If you’re looking for a laid-back place with good people and good food, this is absolutely worth the stop. A true “blink and you’ll miss it” treasure.

Nice little Cafe. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Chicken fried steak was real steak and the fries were cooked to perfection. I had a side salad and it was very fresh tasting. Overall, I loved the place, I will be back very soon.

This place is a great old school cafe. Lunch/dinner plates are full of home style flavors and cooking with plenty to eat! The brownies are so good after lunch to make sure you’re over filled for sure. They tasted like my grandma used to make when I was 12! If you’re a city princess who wants vegan or gluten free menus, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE haha. This is place makes food and serves it like it’s 1995 still and I LOVE IT!! I WILL BE BACK AND BRINGING MORE PEOPLE WITH ME NEXT TIME!
