We have been coming here for many years and been through different owners. This is the best place to eat in Wildwood. You definitely get what you pay for. The portions are generous and the staff are friendly. And it’s clean! Hands down and the best part is you won’t get ripped off like many other food places here.

Coffee was fresh, as well as our over easy eggs and omlette. The generous serving of fried potatoes was well seasoned and cooked just right. Not to mention the bacon was spot on.

First time here because I was in town stopped got seated at a table that was dirty so I moved to another table which again was dirty ask the lady if she could clean it she ask the bus boy he asked her why do I have to clean she said because she said it was dirty the waitress came over ask me what I wanted to drink told her she came back ask if I needed a minute I said yea they didn’t have a Reuben sandwich like I wanted I didn’t want breakfast she said I couldn’t order off the kids menu so I got two egg over easy home fries and toast the toast with all the butter that put on it made the toast very soggy the eggs were good the hash browns weren’t that bad the service how ever was really bad she gave me my food and that was the last I saw of her she had a table behind me with three people walked passed me five six times never once ask me how was everything or if I needed anything just walked right past me Everytime after I was done I waited five minutes to see if she would bring me my check nope had to go to the register with the hostess then after a few minutes the waitress asked if the hostess got my check when she should have came checked on me and gave me my check food was ok the service was so bad makes me not want to come back and fyi they weren’t even busy

She was great very friendly and had excellent service.
Food was amazingly delicious,
We had Ultimate grilled cheese sandwich with fries, also the crab cake special.
The grilled cheese was a generous size and taste was amazing the fries that came with it were great, fresh, crispy.
The crab cake special came with two cakes, homemade not much artificial filler lots of crabmeat. The oldbay chips also made there, were to die for.
Appetizer was buffalo cauliflower, best ever hands down.
Overall was a great experience with awesome customer service by all staff.
Will be looking forward to another visit while In Wildwood….

It pains me to write this because I loved the Star Diner and I love the location and vintage feel of the diner, but this place ruined my morning. In my opinion, the one essential thing that a diner must do right is eggs. And the eggs I was served were gelled over and gummy. I have no idea how they ruined my eggs so badly. No runny yellow yolks they sort of jiggled in place. They served up burnt toast and even though it wasn’t that busy, didn’t really check in for coffee refills. Everything was an upcharge and high rates at that! I saw them charge $12 for a to go iced tea because the person wanted it without ice. Won’t be coming back.
