I recently dined at your venue & was blown away. The service was on point. The flavors of the food were exquisite. The cocktail ( cosmopolitan ) & Malbec were delicious. I absolutely loved the ambiance. It was honestly so romantic. It wasn’t noisy or quiet; it was just right. I highly recommend this venue to anyone in the Cypress area. YELP – five stars ✨

It was absolutely amazing. Our waitress/bartender was great. Has amazing recommendations and was so sweet. So funny too! I will definitely come again. I believe it was the manager who came by as well. He was very helpful and was very kind. The food was great, and of course they made it special for our friends’ birthday.

My wife and I met a friend here for dinner and had an amazing meal. I had the sea bass and it was the best sea bass I’ve ever had. My wife had the short rib ravioli and it was also delicious. We had carrot cake for desert and it was fantastic! The service was also very good!

This review is based off of the experience we had the next day. My wife and I went here to celebrate her birthday. The good was good and the service was great. She did not finish her ribeye and we had a few sides left to finish. We got to-go boxes with the expectations to finish it today due to the freeze and unable to go anywhere safely.
We opened our boxes to discover that we did not get our steak and instead got some Asparagus. We are unsure if we got someone else’s food so don’t feel comfortable eating it. We called the restaurant to inform them only to be met with “well, what do you want me to do about it?” from the manager. We weren’t expecting to get a free steak or meal but we wanted to inform them of the mix up and it felt we were just supposed to accept this. He did offer us a free appetizer on our next visit but only after we informed him several times that we didn’t feel comfortable eating someone else’s food.

I went to Matvinos on Friday night 10/17/25 and ordered two tomahawk steaks. I had guests from out of the country join us. The experience was horrible. The steaks had to go back twice because they were underprepared. I had ordered medium well, but they came back rare, bleeding. In fact, the steaks were still moving as if they were alive. I was so embarrassed because I had recommended Marino’s, as I’ve been going there for seven years. I will never return, as the previous week on Thursday 10/16/25 I ordered one ribeye steaks Andy filet mignon and they came back charred. I had ordered them medium well, but they had to be prepared with new steaks because they were overcooked. It seems to be a trend at this restaurant. I would just like to ask if anyone else is having this issue, please post it on Google, even though the Management did offer me a discount, it still wasn’t enough, for a loyal customer.

If you’re looking forward to a premium steak that is well cooked, this is not the place. Less than half inch t-bones full of fat an grissell…2″ filets that are well done when you asked for medium. Drinks were okay as was dessert. Not a place we’ll go back. Subpar service. When you spend $60+ for a steak, you expect perfection. This is NOT the place.

This is one of the worst dining experiences my fiancé and I have ever had. We dined in on Valentine’s night (probably mistake number 1). You could tell they were squeezing tables together to maximize business. The first table they sat us at was tiny and the tables next to us were (and I kid you not) ten inches away from us. I could literally hear both tables’ conversations next to us. They kindly moved us to a booth after I asked. Upon ordering our food, the waiter was very rude. I asked to hear other salad dressing options for the wedge salad and he snappily stated “that’s not possible. We don’t do that here”. Wow! Then, we waited another 45 minutes for our food to arrive! On top of that, the dessert we ordered was sold out, which they waited to tell us until after dinner. They only alerted us to this after I had asked for our dessert to be served! I never leave bad reviews, but this was a horrendous experience. I’ve had better service from Taco Bell.

Our waiter was Abraham, he was very knowledgeable and attentive to all of our needs. Because of him we will definitely be coming back. Here’s a picture of our empty plates!!

Being from Texas, I’m always ready for a great steak. I went there for the first time with some friends was super excited. Prices kind of scared me not used to paying that much, but was optimistic. Wait Staff seem like they didn’t care about any kind of service including taking drinks.n Bread was excellent, so just like a Mexican restaurant that has good salsa. I was very excited about getting the 16 oz bone in ribeye, loaded, baked potato and house salad. Evenn Went the extra mile to get the 3 pepper crust comes out. Looks more like a thin pork chop was with other people. So did not want to make a big deal. Otherwise, I would have sent it back in a heartbeat, started cutting on it, and the uneven table started to shake. And I was trying not to shake it to embarrass myself so. I started kicking the table before I started cutting to blend in the shakiness, and it worked. This steak was beyond tough. If I would have had a razor blade, it would have still shook the table. I ate all of it. But it took me about 30 minutes due to the shaking and chewing. I couldn’t get water refill, so I really thought I was maybe going to choke so I started eating the baked potato water shows up. I’m gonna make it. I can make it through this. I get.n The bill, which is separate and it said $95.n I cough up a chunk of steak in shock. Luckily, I was able to re swallow and not spit it on my plate I had water, so it helped a little This is officially the worst ribeye I’ve ever had in my life and I’m 46 Waffle house steak and eggs blows this place away, same thickness, I think they ran out of their normal ribeye.n And found Something from Kroger that was on sale with the reduced price sticker. No flavor or seasoning, I tasted maybe one flake of pepper, definitely not 3 pepper was super embarrassed. They never asked how the steak was like. They already knew it sucked. Andn They got me. I couldn’t sleep last night. I feel like I got got.In fact , I know I got got , i’m really thinking about calling today when they open corporate that is i want a hundred dollar gift card from amazon or cash refund wasted a $100 on something. I could have got from Kroger at a reduced price do not get the ribeye it’s a no go , no go display is a no go zone salt grass right next door do the right thing they ought to be ashamed of themselves where’s my money over and out godspeed

Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the rest of the experience. I ordered the steak (medium-rare), and while it looked promising, the texture was off-putting: gritty and sandy, almost like chewing on powder or fine sand rather than tender, juicy meat. It lacked the clean, fibrous bite you expect from a quality cut, and the flavor couldn’t overcome the weird mouthfeel. The asparagus side was equally disappointing—first serving came out overcooked and mushy throughout. We sent it back politely, and the replacement arrived with a nicely crisped/charred exterior, but the inside was still mushy and soft. It felt like the initial overcooking couldn’t be rescued, leaving an uneven, unappetizing texture.
It’s a shame because everything else was on point, and with better execution in the kitchen, this could have been a standout meal. We appreciate the great service and won’t hesitate to give feedback directly, as places with this level of hospitality often step up when issues are pointed out. Hoping it was just an off night—would love to try again if the food matches the front-of-house excellence.
